I believe the book to be of great help to anyone who wishes to learn the Creek language. So far it has helped me with my pronunciations and verb congugations.

If you want to learn Mvskoke, then this is the best option available to you. There are a few websites that provide limited vocabularies and pronounciation but this book covers it all. You can also find a pdf for free download of an earlier version of the book but I'd suggest not trying to use it because it has too many problems. The book is easy to follow, the lessons are relevant to learning how to speak in everyday consversations, and the book comes with two CDs that make it practical to learn the pronounciation of mvskoke words. The book appears to be designed for a classroom setting with an Instructor speaking the words and students practicing with each other. If you are trying to learn by yourself, you will find some irritating shortcomings in the exercises and CDs. The answers to some of the exercises are not provided so you are left wanting. Some of the vocabulary words are not found in the Glossary, so again you are left wanting to know what the word means. In the grand scheme of things, these are minor irritants and I highly recommend this book.

Right now, this is the best book on learning Muskogee available. It's pretty good. Languages are special treasures, art forms, and it is a real loss to the world when a language dies out. I am so very glad to see this book, it is pretty much as described. There is another book after this, also.
