This is an absolutely stunning recording of some really beautiful choral music. With voices pure and ethereal, the singers in this small chorus perform the works of Copland and Barber with an expressive quality that brings these already compelling compositions to even greater life. Especially impressive is the first soprano, hitting the high Bb at the end of "In the Beginning" with a tone that is both angelic and triumphant. I recommend this disc to anyone who loves choral music and appreciates an ensemble of stellar performers.
