Beginning of the End is a fascinating look at where the world is heading in relationship to the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. A vague sort of marker on the timeline of earth's predetermined destiny. He does a fairly decent job of using previously fulfilled prophecies to prove the veracity of the Bible, and then goes on to give his educated opinion of how the end...

Beginning of the End is a fascinating look at where the world is heading in relationship to the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. A vague sort of marker on the timeline of earth's predetermined destiny. He does a fairly decent job of using previously fulfilled prophecies to prove the veracity of the Bible, and then goes on to give his educated opinion of how the end times might play out. While Hagee offers much to learn and ponder, no self-respecting person, especially a Christian, should take his word to be infallible. Read the book, do your own study and research, and come to your own conclusions. As Hagee himself states in the book, most of it doesn't really even matter for Christians because we won't be here when it happens anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars A look at current events through the lense of the Scripture., June 3, 1999

Beginning of the End is a very enjoyable read. Obviously he comes from a Pre-Millennial, Pre-Tribulational viewpoint. Sometimes the book reads more like a novel than a study on eschatology. I feel Rev. Hagee's interpretation is often more isogetical (based on current events) than exegetical (based on the Scripture). Yet, his writing style is enjoyable and his speculations are interesting. I recommend the book but would encourage people to also investigate other authors on the subject (Pentecost, Ice, Walvoord).

Gorbachav as the Antichrist, due to the "mark" on his forehead is one of my all-time favorites. Now that we are less than a year away from the end of the 90's, we see why the Preterist view (which teaches that New Testament eschatology focused on the end of the OLD covenant, not the new) is gaining increased acceptance. It is my hope that once we pass the year 2000, these types of hype-driven books will cease to excite interest. That starts with you. Buy R.C. Sproul's "Last Days According to Jesus" instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars WAKE UP AMERICA!! - - A MUST READ FOR ALL, May 17, 1999

This review is from: Beginning Of The End, The (Paperback)
An excellent source of information for believers and a true eye opener for all. With the Middle East in a constant state of turmoil, many overlook the daily headlines of war and dischord in the heart of our religious beginnings. Pastor/Author John Hagee brings these events into light, brilliantly explaining and demonstrating how the prophesies and words of God are being and lived out in this century. For those who question prophecy and the Bible, this book gives many examples of prophesies already fulfilled as well as those unflolding before our eyes as we speak. "Are we the terminal generation"? The question is asked and the evidence is shown.

For those of you that are interested in the state that the world is in today and those interested in the current events of Israel, Dr. Hagee does an incredible job of putting all of these things in perspective. You will not be able to put the book down once you start! The world is changing before our eyes, and many around us don't even have a clue. Read this book and share it with the people that you know. You will not regret it!

I thought the book was excellant. Written well, and it held my attention for hours. My daught has also asked to read these books and a fellow worker has asked to borrow them, after I had shared some of the contents and things Mr. Hagee had written concerning Israel and the end times. Good job Brother Hagee, please keep warning Americans and continue to share the good news or our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The Beginning of the End is another of Dr. Hagee's great books. He tells us that we are living in the Terminal Generation in which so much of these things will happen to bring the time of Christ's return to fruition. His books are so exciting you do not want to stop. He has such a wonderful way of writing that he just captures your mind waiting to see what happens next. He is trying to warn us that our generation may well be the time of the end and that we must be prepared. This is all important and we must heed his words. This book can be purchased at Amazon.com and is a must read book.

When I first started reading Pastor Hagee's book "The beginning of the End", I must admit it was a little slow in the beginning. However, it picked up rapidly after that and I couldn't put the book down. This book will give any reader a clear understanding of events of the end times. For believers it brings great hope to know the church will be taken out before the horrible world events take place. Glory! I highly recommend this book; I recently bought this book for someone else. If you're into reading books, don't overlook this one!

Pastor Hagee shows clearly why he is one of the finest prophetic theologians in the world today. This book lays down the events of the end times in a clear and understandable manner, qualifying it all with scripture.
