The 3rd edition of this text was extremely helpful for me in my behavior analysis course. Word definitions were listed in the back for easy access, if they weren't defined in the text itself. Examples given were very helpful in understanding concepts and a lot of diagrams were given to help those of us who understand better via visual learning. Reviews at the end of each chapter included study questions which were very helpful. It was an interesting read, at least for someone already interested in the topic.

This text gives a lot of very detailed descriptions and also good examples and charts to help students understand the information. It has been a great supplement to my Operant Behavior course.

I received the book in a timely manner. The condition was very good. It arrived just in time before class started so that was a plus. I would buy from this person again.

This book arrived in great conditions, only problem: too much highlighting that whet on there with the previous owner. This is something to describe,but it wasn't. Other than that, the book was in great shape and fast delivery.

I had to used this book for a university psychology class. I loved the smaller size(it is not as tall&wide as regular textbooks).

The pages were nice and the information was comprehendible.

I am pretty sure that I ended up reading the entire book. Not something that I can usually get myself to do, but I think the book helped.

Easier to handle physically than most textbooks too.

As far as textbooks go, this is better than average. Not something that will grab hold and not let go, but for people interested in behavior (and I'm guessing you are if you are ordering a textbook on the subject) it's informative and not boring.

I'm using this book in conjunction with a college undergraduate class I'm taking and my reaction is one of disappointment. In my experience, the most clearly written textbooks are ones designed for psychology classes, but this book is poorly constructed and painfully dull. It befuddles me to the highest that a textbook written about operant behavior and conditioning doesn't take advantage of it's own topic to help instruct the college student.

Topics are poorly introduced and definitions are incomplete. Particularly galling, the text will set up multiple items as subtopics and only define or explore some of those subtopics.

In my book (pardon the pun), this book fails not only at being a flowing, interesting text, but it also defies it's own subject matter.

I would implore instructors looking to engage their students in a dialog of the subject matter and spawn their students' curiosities, -not- to utilize this textbook.

This text is simply awful. It's badly written, sports terrible examples, gives outright incorrect information at times, and includes a full glossary of completely useless definitions. Half of said definitions don't even qualify as valid members of that category - the entries drone on about related concepts and examples without ever defining the word. Even when things are actually defined, they're often defined very very badly or just wrong. There's typos everywhere and even simple math errors. Please don't waste your money and PLEASE don't use this text for any valid course on Behavior Analysis. You'll loose credibility immediately, not least with your students.
