Editorial Reviews

Review

"A simple and straightforward guide to accessing your inner resources and making desired changes in your life. I heartily recommend it." --Tim Gallwey, Author of The Inner Game Of Tennis

"Hank Fieger writes as well as he coaches -- helping others learn to modify deeply rooted behaviors that can affect performance and self potential. He understands the basics of human nature and what it takes to make the choice to change. Change is difficult but Hank's methods help identify limiting behaviors and discover replacements that can improve one's effectiveness."

"Behavior Change is a powerful tool for helping uncover the underlying assumptions that shape us as leaders. It's a must read for anyone who wants to achieve more in their life, their work, and the world."

"Hank Fieger has distilled many years of consulting and training experience to capture the essence of how people can take control of their life. An essential read for anyone involved in training and development."

Format: Paperback
In an era fraught with economic peril, as well as emerging competitive pressures via changing fiscal dynamics and growing online marketplaces, Hank Fieger reminds readers that self-success hinges on individual behavior traits ... and modification. In a quick read that is both brisk and detailed oriented, Mr. Fieger's treatise on behavior change traces a methodical progression of beliefs, values, attitude, etc. As a book devoted to the benefits of self-awareness and fine-tuning, Behavior Change is perfectly suited for business executives, entrepreneurs, politicians, thought leaders and everyday individuals. It is a handbook of sorts that successfully equips readers with essential tools that assist people in how they assess, amend, improve and positively develop behavior -- and ultimately how their behavior is perceived by various constituencies. As someone who is currently building a new business. Behavior Change shed light on the vital processes around how I can understand what behavior needs modification. From there, the book walked me through how I can build a necessary change that endures, isolate productive traits that work (and don't work), and tap into feedback from others to sustain that behavior change.

If you're considering holiday gift options for colleagues, clients or business partners, Hank Fieger's Behavior Change is bound to be a step in the right direction.

This is a well written book, but more importantly, it is the generous sharing of wisdom born of a vast and diverse experience of life, human psyche, teaching, learning and self-improvement. There is a good deal of information in this book, garnered pearls of wisdom from a variety of sources, put together in a simple, easy to understand and implement presentation. The fact that this information is personalized by the author's life experiences lends it the credibility of experiential knowledge acquired through the only way the human brain really learns, trial, error and improvement (evolution).

Understanding how the Human Being operates from the inside out is the detective work that every actor does instinctively when approaching a role. Working with Hank Fieger in preparation for Starship Troopers, I quickly came to understand he was a master of human behavior. The powerful tools he shares in this book have not only helped me have a successful career as an actress, but prepared me for the biggest and most rewarding role of my life: Myself.

I really liked it and had the misconception that it would be more difficult for me to understand and follow; I'm very happy to say that it wasn't at all complex. It has been a very pleasant read!

I felt that it didn't make me feel "pushed" to make the changes in my "life" that I want and it gave me the possibility and the tools to do it in smooth and effortless "steps". I feel that more than that, it is about the choices I make when "happenings" in my life appear. To recognize them and then make my own decisions with the goals that I have set as principals.

Hank is very right when he says that if you don't do the exercises while you are reading, there is a big lack of understanding the deepest meaning of the book.

It is very accessible and "not demanding", not lecturing nor giving "shoulds" and "shouldn'ts".

I really enjoyed the last half of the book where everything kind of came together.

I hope the next book comes soon!

Too many people sit around whining about their life. How, if they had this or that, everything would be so much better. Well, guess what? What if you never get this or that? Are you going to choose to be miserable the rest of your existence? Or are you going to accept the hand you were dealt and make the most of it?

If your choice is the latter, then "Behavior Change" is the guide that can help you begin to spin your life into the story you've always wanted to write. Or sing.

Hank Fieger's no-frills 70+ pages not only contain precious insights into the human internal make-up but serve as an invaluable resource for coaching practitioners. I used his 'core-belief exercise' with a client with great success right away... and his no-fluff, straight forward writing style positions this book 'up there' as one of my preferred working guides in the field of coaching. Well done, Mr Fieger.

He has developed expertise in Behavioral Executive Coaching, Team Building, Executive Presentation Skills, Personal Leadership and Leadership Communication Skills, using a model of open and honest communication.
In the early 1980s, Hank had the opportunity to work with AT&T during its divestiture, when the U.S. government told AT&T to break up its monopoly. It was at this point in his career that he realized that the part of business he was most interested in was--people. After being out of college for 17 years, he decided to go back to graduate school, at the age of thirty-five, to study psychology. By combining his knowledge in both the fields of business and psychology, he found that he could help others in the required skills of "people management," and leadership.
Hank was raised on Long Island, NY, and moved to California in 1970. In 1997, with work in Australia and Asia Pacific, Hank relocated from California to Sydney, Australia and set up a consulting practice there. Seven years later, as clients in Europe sought his expertise, he relocated to Barcelona, where he spends the majority of his time at present.
His dream is to help others reach their unique potential.
