A particularly weak book in the field of behavioral sciences., July 21, 2008
This review is from: The Behavioral Sciences and Health Care (Paperback)
At the outset, this book shows every promise of being a great book for a psychiatry, psychopathology, or behavioral sciences course. It has a great layout, plenty of USMLE-style review questions (most of which are actually good), and covers a broad spectrum of topics. Yet, here the expectations end unfulfilled.
The text is too long to be a review book and yet, too perfunctory and simple to be a textbook. It lies in a middling area of inadequacy. The authors would have done better to include more detail so as to be comprehensive and/or restructured the text to eliminate a lot of unnecessary sentences dedicated to explaining simple concepts that belittle the, no doubt, educated reader. There are much better texts in terms of learning behavioral sciences for the Step 1 such as the BRS or High-Yield books by Barbara Fadem, these books are much more succinct and stick to the relevant material.

Speedy, and like new book as promised, February 12, 2008
This review is from: The Behavioral Sciences and Health Care (Paperback)
I had absolutely no problem with buying this book. The book arrived without delay and in excellent condition. I believe I bought the book as "like new" but it looks brand new to me. I would highly recommend this seller. Thanks~
