She had a life and death decision to make . . .Air Force Captain Annie O'Donnell found herself involved in a dangerous military mission that required her to fly into a war zone to retrieve an elite group of Special Operations personnel. She is unprepared when a warning signal suddenly goes off signaling that the enemy below had engaged missile lock on her aircraft. To stay put and allow the last team member enough time to access the helicopter would mean certain death for all members involved. She makes the painful decision to put the aircraft into motion and sacrifice the life of the lone soldier who was helplessly suspended underneath her helicopter. Watch out SuzAnne Brockmann, be warned Lindsey McKenna, newcomer Cindy Dees is on the block and is already commanding attention. It has been years since I felt such a strong sensation about a new voice in the romance industry. With Cindy Dees military background, she has all the ammunition to write one explosive novel. This new author is not to be missed, I predict she will take the romance genre by a tremendous storm!

What a great book! Cindy Dees has taken her personal experience as an Air Force pilot and applied it BIG TIME to this book. Air Force Captain Annie O'Donnell is smart, savvy - definitely not TSTL! Special Forces Major Thomas Folly and his team have to work with Annie to escape a revolution. And what a team - five other members that are just screaming out for their own stories to be told. I predict we will be seeing a lot more of Cindy Dees - she is definitely a rising star!

Cindy Dees, if her first book is any indication, will become a household name where military romances rule. This was a fast paced book that screams for sequels. I loved Annie and Tom and Tom's team was worthy of getting to know better. Cindy takes us inside this military operation and inside a chopper without leaving us behind with technical talk. The black moment had me riveted with my heart in my throat. I'll put this book on my keeper shelf and put Cindy Dees on my auto buy.
