I read several chapters of this book for research during a Middle Eastern Women's Studies class. Hilterman is very detailed about the activities of the women's committees and gives a thorough history of the Palestinian women's movement. I highly recommend this book for any Middle Eastern Women's studies class. It was not assigned reading for my class, but I think excepts from several chapters would be wonderful for class readings. Hiltermann even has a helpful index of organizations at the beginning of the book.
