Editorial Reviews

It's the final weekend of an underground nine-ball tournament, with the winner taking home $500,000 cash. The losers take home nothing but a handshake and a pat on the back. Eight players remain, including a washed-up minor leaguer, a Sun-Tzu quoting mystery man and a riot-girl alcoholic single mom.

1.0 out of 5 stars Behind the 9, October 2, 2006
This review is from: Behind the Nine (DVD)
I wouldn't recommend buying this film. Don't get me wrong, I love pool and pool movies, so I tried hard to like it but I couldn't help feeling otherwise. It looks very low budget. The entire picture takes place in a small house. The actors and actresses do very poor jobs acting their parts, and the plot isn't very interesting or believable at all. The film also fails to include the most important part, which is the GAME OF BILLIARDS. It has about 2 or 3 different scenes where they actually show the table itself and when they do it's only for a split second with really boring, unamazing shots... I'm sorry but it's my opinion that this film is a waste of money and time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really Bad, May 18, 2008

If possible this movie is even worse that Stickmen and dumber. Do not waste your money until Hollywood comes out with something comparable to The Hustler or the Color Of Money it just not worth your time or money. If you buy this or Stickmen then you got hustled.
