This in-depth look into a directors inspiration is a great educational tool for a theater educator. It also serves as a tool for other directors to get to the real meaning and understanding of what a director does. I am so glad to find some information on Julie Taymor, one of todays formost visionary directors. I congradulate the producers of this video! Way to go! Great Video with the exception that it is too short...we want more!

'Behind the Scenes' is an excellent teaching tool. I have shown it to both elementary and middle school students- they are captivated by Taymor's video. It shows all the elements of theatre; costume design, puppetry, movement, make-up, acting, set and lighting design and direction. This helps my students understand the importance of working both on and off stage and using skills other than acting. A must for any theatre educator!
