Very well researched with all the proper annotations and bibliography.

Martin is leader in the surging preterist view of eschatology, which states that most if not all prophecy was fulfilled by AD 70.

I read the first edition of Behind the Veil, and was so excited about it, that
I volunteered to coedit the revision.

Behind the Veil of Moses is an articulate, comprehensive, and lucid explanation of God's covenant plan for man. It is refreshing to have truth explained so that a layperson can read and understand it.

As I read it, I kept thanking the Holy Spirit for providing a resource that
answered all the niggling undercurrent of doubts I had for 30 years. If you are able to read this document objectively, and check everything Brian says with Scripture, you will be truly blessed.

It has been the second-most liberating experience of my life, right after my salvation!

I have read this book three times already and absorb more with each read. This is one of the most enlightening and influential books I have ever read.

No need to switch back and forth between your bible and the text as all bible verses are printed out in full as needed. Masterfullly blends bible prophecy with historical fact.

Fulfilled eschatology is logically developed and is as close to a mathematical proof of any eschatological position I can find. I am extremely impressed with the logical, systematic presentation of the "end of the age" concept.

We also learn of the importance of "audience relevance" - that the Gospels and Epistles were written to pre-70 AD Christians and not to us, although we have a tendency to incorrectly read ourselves into many prophecy passages. Thus, we learn that while the "Second Coming" was in the future to pre-70 AD Christians, it is in the past to Christians since then. We learn that the Book of Revelation is a prophecy of the events leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 and to the "time of the end" (of the Old Covenant) and NOT "the end of time." (See Jeremiah 31:31 and Hebrews 8:7-13)

If you are serious about examining a "Preterist" (already fulfilled) explanation of the "end times" (70 AD end of the Old Covenant), then this book is for you. I'd be willing to bet that it will completely change your understanding of the "last days".

Other indispensable books on this subject are

This excellent book shows how the Jewish nation missed their Messiah because their expectations of His nature were wrong, and how most modern Christians err in holding to very similar expectations regarding a second advent. Brian provides an excellent framework for understanding Scripture by showing the New Testament to be THE most excellent commentary on the Old Testament; that is, it reveals what was veiled.

Using Scripture he clearly shows how apocalyptic "earth/universe ending" language is used in the Old Testament describing judgments now long past, yet modern "prophets" - with no biblical warrant - insist New Testament use of such language must be understood in a literal physical sense. Also provided are many quotes from others with sources cited.

If you are confused or disillusioned by continuing failed end time predictions, this book is for you. Keep a pen and pad handy to take notes as you read, it will be a great study reference. Be a Berean!

This book is a must read for all who want to honestly understand Scripture. Its emphasis on "audience relevance" (context, timing, and to whom passages are written) is invaluable.

I've held the full-preterist view of eschatology since 1990. Brian has done an excellent job in laying out the physical aspect of the Old Covenant versus the spiritual aspect of the New Covenant. One of the best written books I have read that lays out fulfilled eschatology from the Scriptures in layman's terms for anyone to understand and quickly see. This book is a must read if your studying the end-times theme from Scripture.

This book is well written and helps people to understand the context of Scripture. I may not agree with everything in the book but much of the content it contains is priceless. Well worth the read and well worth adding to your collection.
