I originally purchased this movie directly from the producers, Feature Films for Families. Being a single mother of two children who were very young at the time, it was important to me to know that the entertainment made available to them was of a morally upstanding nature; entertainment that was not only fun to watch, but that taught important lessons in kindness, faith and self-esteem.

Now, 12 years later, the VHS tape we originally purchased is stretched and worn thin. This movie has been watched over and over, well worth every penny spent. Now I am purchasing it on DVD to restablish it's place in our movie library, and also to make it available to up and coming young family members. I believe they deserve a chance to see great movies, too.

If you're looking for a family movie with out having to fwd or preview the movie first this is the one for you. It does rely heavily on creativity and imagination as well as celtic fables. All and all I give it an A+.

THIS MOVIE TELLS TWO STORIES AND INTERWEAVES THEM MASTERFULLY ! ONE STORY IS ABOUT THE FAITH AND OPTIMISM OF CHILDREN AND THE ADULTS WHO TRY TO ENCOURAGE OR DISCOURAGE THESE CHILDREN. THE PERFORMANCES ARE MESMERIZING, ESPECIALLY GARY BURGOFF'S PERFORMANCE. THE SCENERY AND THE SOUNDTRACK ARE BREATHTAKING. I DO WISH I COULD FIND THE SOUNDTRACK FOR SALE.

MY CHILDREN AND THEIR FRIENDS HAVE WATCHED THIS MOVIE OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CHILD DISSATISFIED OR AN ADULT WHO WAS NOT ENTERTAINED.

DON'T MISS THIS MOVIE !
