I highly recommend Behind the Wheel Spanish Book with Bonus CD. Judging from some of the reviews I have seen, I would like to clear up any misconceptions you may be subjected to when ordering this set.
First of all, this is NOT the 8 CD version. This is a ONE CD version with a book.
It is cheaper than the 8CD version (which I may try later). I chose the one CD version with a book because I expected to use 50% of my learning time in the car and then another 50% at home.
I want to know how the language is written and the book is the best I have seen in that category.
It cuts though all of the grammar and confusion and shows you how the Spanish language is actually put together in a way that's easy to understand.
The CD is equally good. A fine presentation that teaches you material from the book that you can review later.
Overall, a wonderful set.

I have been using Behind the Wheel Spanish Learn at Home or in Your Car for just over a week and I have come away after each session with the book and the CD with a good deal more ability to speak, read and even write Spanish than before the session.
I attribute my success to the clarity of the presentation in the text. I am able to study one page at a time and not have to jump back and forth between the book and a dictionary because the 'dictionary' is actually built into the book. What I mean to say is that the book offers all the meanings for the Spanish in English ON THE SAME PAGE. Not only do they provide you with the English meanings, they even give you an answer key also
ON THE SAME PAGE as the exercises.
This means several things. It means that I don't get frustrated anymore trying to figure out what the heck the sentences mean in English. It means that I don't waste time ineffectively trying to look up strange definitions in a Spanish-English dicitonary.
It means that I don't have to go to the back of the book or down to my local Mexican restaurant or the high school Spanish teacher to find out if my answer was correct or not because they give it to you right there. IMMEDIATELY. No work, no hassle.
Now, on to the CD.
Yes it would be nice to have had more than just one CD but I chose not to buy the 8 CD course. For the money, the CD that I received was excellent. Not only are the voices clear (the Spanish guy's accent is fantastic and easy to understand) but the CD also comes with the English explanation also right away.
Learning Spanish has never been so easy. I mean, this is unbelievable.
One suggestion ..... At times I do wish I had spent a few bucks more and bought the complete Behind the Wheel Spanish 8 CD course with text.

I really love and am enjoying great results with Behind the Wheel Spanish Learn at Home or in Your Car (Book With Bonus CD) by Mark Frobose.
This method makes learning Spanish so easy that I am almost embarrassed for the other
courses out there that fall so short of this.
I am on a budget, so I am particularly grateful for the price.
You get a lot for the money. A good CD and the book for home or office review.
Recommended buy.

A thousand 'Gracias' to Language Dynamics for coming up with such a nice 'car friendly' to learning Spanish while you drive. I listen daily to the multi-track CD in my car going to and from work and I try to review using my book at home in the evening. I am getting wonderful results with this course and method.

Great book to learn Spanish from at home. Great CD to listen to in the car. Easy to understand exercises with answer keys right in front of you on the same page. Sometimes funny and sometimes interesting stories, but always educational. Very useful Spanish. Modern approach.

I wanted something to help me brush up on my Spanish before going to the DR. This book and CD definitley helped out. The book and CD contain valable and frequently used words and phrases, but I would not say this is the only book you should have if you truly are trying to learn the language.

The CD is a good compliment to the book, but it very rudimentary for someone who already knows some of the language, but does provide a good refresher.

The CD that goes with the Spanish text is very poor.
The narrator sounds very unprofessional, in articulate, boring.
The CD also stopped abruptly after about 10 lessons, seems to be broken. The book is OK for such a low price.

The Audio CD is not really matching the book, but it is ok and I use them every morning in the subway, reviewing words and sentences.
