I am setting up a low budget home studio. These monitors are great for the price, solid, flat sound. keep in mind that these are UNPOWERED monitors which means you WILL need an amp. I recommend this one: [...]it works tremendously well with the speakers.

WAY better sounding, wider-ranging, and better able to get loud gracefully than most small speakers, including the "hi-fi" variety. Keyhole on rear surface provides an additional mounting option. The AudioSource AMP-100 2-Channel Bridgeable Stereo Power Amplifier is a good match for one or two pairs of these speakers; plenty of clean power, unlike the "Pyle Pro" units.
