Quality Components
Those in the know will appreciate the FBQ3102's uncompromising components such as the ultra low-noise audio operational amplifiers that provide outstanding sound performance, or the servo-balanced inputs and outputs with 1/4" TRS and gold-plated XLR connectors. You can expect unmatched reliability and longevity because high-quality illuminated faders, detent potentiometers and illuminated switches were designed for the rigors of every-day use. With its comprehensive features and quality craftsmanship, the FBQ3102 will never leave you sailing on thin ice.

FBQ Feedback Detection System
The FBQ Feedback Detection System is one of the most outstanding characteristcs of Behringer's graphic equalizers. This ingenious circuitry lets you immediately recognize and eliminate feedback frequencies. The FBQ Feedback Detection System uses the LEDs in the frequency band faders to indicate the critical frequencies. This way, what once used to be a labor-intensive search for feedback frequencies is now an activity that even a child could master.

In normal operation, the fader LEDs indicate frequency ranges with the highest energy levels, therefore replacing a separate audio analyzer. If you keep an eye on the LEDs while you play back your music (or during the sound check before a show), you can easily identify those frequency ranges showing the highest energy levels. Similarly, increased signal levels on individual frequency bands indicate a higher likelihood that feedback may occur.

Relay-Controlled Hard Bypass
The so-called "hard bypass" relays assure that your equalizer is automatically switched into bypass mode in the event of loss of power or faulty power delivery. These fail-safe relays also produce a slight delay during powering up in order to avoid dangerous switch-on thumps.

Balanced Inputs and Outputs
The BEHRINGER ULTRAGRAPH PRO models feature electronic servo-balanced inputs and outputs. The servo function performs automatically, recognizing when unbalanced signals are connected and internally converts the nominal signal level so that no signal level difference between input and output signals occurs (6 dB correction).

Even though this is a professional model I am using it in my home system replacing an equalizer I have had for many years. This EQ is an awesome piece and exceeded my expectations. I am amazed how reasonable in price it was, yet has many features you would expect to pay much more. I am extremely happy with this piece of equipment and would recommend it for anyone who wants to improve their sound system.

I bought it because it had the bonus of a sub woofer out and a lot of other good features for the price. It hissed so loud I took it out of the rack within 30 minutes. I tried TRS cables, XLR and TS, even with the mixing board disconnected, it still hissed. I played with every setting, the only way to quiet it down was to put it in bypass. As soon as I pulled it out of the rack my system was quiet again. They had some good reviews so I don't know if I got a defective one or not. I am going to return it tomorrow and try another brand. I had a behringer compressor a few years back, it died in the middle of a gig. It was only about a year old and always used with a power conditioner, I thought it was time to forgive and forget, I guess not.

This equalizer works fine and is easy to use. But I am uncomfortable with the high heat it generates. It gets VERY hot on the back panel around the sub output. It gets so hot in that area, it hurts to keep a finger there. This is very strange as the heat is generated even when the EQ it not wired to anything but the A/C power. It is not on top of warm equipment either. I have observed this high-heat behavior on two units. Two different calls to Behringer yielded two results. The first time it was suggested that I exchange the device, which I did. The second time I was told the heat was O.K. Weee, multiple choice from customer support.

I bought this unit in December 2012 hoping to knock out feedback while playing Christian music in a band. If you attempt to gain any sound quality with the sliders above the "notch" that is halfway you will immediately get a loud hiss. The feedback destroy function is a total joke. The lights will not light up for small feedback problems. So if you have problems during a show your sound guy will just have to back that mic down and will not be able to see the frequency. The only way to make it stop feedback is to come to the event early and put in earplugs, and at the risk of blowing your speakers have each singer test the mic with their voice and make the speakers squeal excessively. At that point the sliders might light up, allowing your soundman to erase those frequencies. If you want to use this for karakoe where you dont know all the singers, it is a useless option. You will not be able to use if for feedback on the fly. I bought mine in December of 2012 and it failed a year and a half later. It cuts out after about an hour of use. I sent it in to Behringer with the extended warranty plan. They are claiming they cant find anything wrong. They still have it and I dont know what is going to happen yet. I will "not" put this back in my rack even if they fix it, because I now consider it too risky. If they do ultimately fix it I am going to use it to run the acoustic guitars through only. An expensive lesson learned by me. I will not buy Behringer again if they do not stand behind this product. I own one of their mixers and the EP4000 amp. I buy a lot of equipment. If they stand behind this equipment, I will buy their equipment again, but if not, I wont. I will repost and let everyone know if Behringer is a stand up company or not.

i have a relative dj that owns this and it worked perfectly for the party i helped him with. love the amount of band there is on this eq and is very precise with the switch. just don't like that its 2u but it is 31 band instead of the usual 15 band for a 1u rack. great product. no problemo

New 55" plasma TV sounded boomy and boxy. Through a Carvin 150 to my Ditton 250 speakers, same thing, but louder. The equalizer has given me precise control of the sound. Room is plaster walls and Spartan furnished so it is going to take a lot of tweaking to get it perfect. At least the EQ makes it possible. Unit looks gaudy with all it's lights on, but it works fine.

My recordings have reached new heights ever since I received this item. Not only can I equalize 2 separate microphones or a mic and a guitar, but I can also, manually resolve clipping. I no longer have to worry about a weak or "muddy" audio signal going to my mixer!

I've had 2 and the second one blew up on me. The first developed a thundery noise - must be a dry joint inside. Yes they are very good bits of kit when they work, but the electronics are not well made and will let you down. Both these went within 3 years, not more than 15 gigs each.
