Studio effects processors sound really good, but they can bulky, complicated and expensive. Now you can have all the power and great sound of studio-grade, stereo effects processing, thanks to the ultra-affordable, and easy-to-use DIGITAL MULTI-FX FX600.

Six different modulation effects in one pedal.

Select your effect and adjust two separate parameters and the effect/clean level.

Add Behringer's PSU-SB power supply or go with a 9 volt battery.

Stellar Sounds
This studio-in-a-box features Flanger, Chorus, Phaser, Delay, Tremolo and Pitch Shifter, all in mind-blowing 24-bit/40 kHz resolution that turns everyday riffs into 3-D epics from the outer limits.

  • Chorus: This effect slightly detunes the original signal. A very pleasant detune effect is created in connection with the pitch variation.

  • Flanger: Originally, the flanger effect was generated with two tape recorders running synchronously. The same audio signal was recorded on both machines. If you put a finger on the left spool of one of the machines, the spool and the playback speed are slowed down. The generated delay results in phase shifting of the signals.

  • Phaser: With the phaser, a second, phase-shifted signal is added to the original audio signal. The resulting sound is thicker and above all livelier.

  • Pitch Shifter: The pitch shifter slightly detunes the audio signal.

  • Tremolo: The tremolo effect is achieved by periodic modulation of the input signal level. This results in a continuous change from low to high level that lends a quivering, tremulous sound character.

  • Delay: A delay of the input signal with various repetitions.

Simple Operation
Just select one of the six effects with the dedicated FX knob, and then use the two parameter dials to fine-tune the effect. The LEVEL control determines how much of the effect is mixed with the original signal.

Dependable Operation
The bright LED tells you when the FX600 is activated, and the first-class on/off switch maintains incredible signal integrity in bypass mode. And you get flexible powering as well--power the DD400 with a 9 V battery or a DC power adapter (not included).

Cons: the light is too hard to see "bother your eyes", the armor is plastic.

It has also helped me get an idea of what effects I really want now that I've experimented I'm OK with spending larger amounts of money on more advanced pedals.

It's cheap, it's plastic and the sound is not the best but it gets the job done.

I have many Behringer pedals.Used them gigging.Have had many people ( lots of musicians ) asking me what I am using to get my tone and effects .They are all surprised when I tell them Behringer pedals. And almost all say the same thing."aren't they made of plastic"? Yes they are made of plastic. But being someone who has worked in the plastics industr.for 25 + years I know Plastic can be very strong .I have done hundreds of gigs with these pedals and never had a problem. You would really have to jump ontop of these hard to damage them. And if you did that with the non plastic pedals I am sure you would also have a problem .That said.I have 5 fx600 pedals because I found a site selling them for $14.A super bargin for so much effect. As far as battery power nowadays batteries cost more than pedals so anyone not using adapters is crazy. For the price of half a dozen battieries you could by a few adapters.I will continue to buy Behringer products until they give me reason not to and that just has not happenend yet.

I've used the FX600 for a couple of years. I've got a pedal board, with several pedals, but if I had to take only one pedal with me, (and I often do, when I have to travel lite), this is the pedal I take. Not only do I get a full selection of effects, but the pedal doubles as a DI unit, solving input issues on some problem sound systems I've played thru. That's probably an unintended benefit, but I find it a valuable feature, which gives me confidence to play thru any system. FYI, my buddy's Digitech multi-effect pedal actually introduces hum into systems, where this (FX600) has helped me get a cleaner sound. While this unit has no tone adjustments, it also adds 'something' to make my guitars sound better (I know that is sort of vague). The only down side of this pedal that I have found is that, because they have jammed so much stuff into one pedal, it is a little hard to make precise adjustments. But, with what this pedal DOES do for me, that's a small price to pay. For this price, I can't see why anyone would not like this pedal.

I'm a beginner guitar player, and I've been interested in effect pedals but could not make up my mind which ones to get for the style of music I would like to play. When I ordered this pedal it worked well with my Crybaby Wah and sounds great in Church when I play for service. It has also helped me get an idea of what effects I really want now that I've experimented I'm OK with spending larger amounts of money on more advanced pedals. This is definitely great for beginners or a practice set up. It was well worth the money.

It's inexpensive, it works great, it's not flashy or intricate, and it gets the job done. Not a spectacular sound, but it's more than enough value for the price. I use it live, and works great.

The first one I ordered refused to run on batteries, and its overly-blue light flashed continually when using an adaptor, whether I had the pedal in use or not.
Like a chump, I ordered a second one and figured I'd keep the 1st one for knobs etc. Well.. same exact problems, plus a ridiculous clicking pulse in all effects when the unit was active. To sum it up- the effects are actually great. The unit and its shoddy electronics is strictly crapola. Since Behringer made its bones by ri/p/p/ing /o/ff/.. that is, "offering an alternative"... to Boss pedals, poetic justice would be to have Boss make this same potentially amazing multi-FX unit (which is one of the few that didn't serve as a "model" for Behringer's stuff), but make it right.

With the FX600 you can have a very wide range of effects for your guitar.

As CONS I found that you have to remember the location of the two knobs for any specific sound and you should have it powered by a power supply because it really dries batteries in minutes.

Otherwise be prepared to enjoy a myriad of sounds with this device.

This is a nice effects pedal for the beginner guitarist who wants to dabble or experiment with, its made of plastic but i don't care since I'm fairly new to pedals, and your gonna want to buy the power supply cause it does drain those 9 volt batteries (about 2-4 hours depending on what effects you use, all in all I found it worth the money.

Pros.
-its cheap compared to others
-six different effects
-decent for beginners
-very decent entry level effects pedal (good as a gift for a beginner)

Cons.
-its made of plastic
-sometimes the blue light will blink when you deactivate it causes you to hear a beeping if your amp is turned up really really HIGH, or at least with mine (fender starcaster 15G)
-the batterie can be difficult to replace

This is a great multi effects pedal. It has all the basic effects and a nob to increase the intensity of the effect as well as 2 more nobs to manipulate the effect to your liking or requirement. I highly recommend this pedal as a starter pedal or for anyone that can't afford the pedal with 50+ presets of the same effects. My only problem with it so far is mine doesn't work with a 9v batter. Of course the battery could just be old, but I wanted to use a wall adapter anyways I just happened to have one of those laying around.
