I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these headphones. I have owned many different styles and brands of headphones in the past and to reach the quality of these one would expect to pay quite alot more than these. The Bass response is unbelievable, High end is crisp and clear. I use them mainly with my computer and the sound is excellent. I can only imagine how they would sound thru a true stereo. If your looking for a great set of headphones believe me, you dont have to pay alot to get great quality. You will be impressed.

UPDATE ON HEADPHONES
I purchased these back in jan of 05, and as of July 5, 2006 they are still going strong!! They still work as good as they did the day i recvd them. WOW.. in this day and age.. anything that lasts this long is worth the money....The price of these headphones are still unbelievable!!

These headphones are really good, and they aren't priced in excess of $100, like a lot of headphones I found on Amazon. They have a great frequency response, are comfy (although, a little more padding on the band connecting the two earphones might be nice), and they give you a pretty healthy sounding bass. Just what I was looking for.

They come with a quarter-inch headphone jack, so I recommend getting an adapter so that the headphones will plug into the more common sized plug.

If you're looking for a decent, sturdy pair of headphones for a low budget, these are the ones to get.

Absolutely wonderful headphones. Great sound quality, regardless of the price. I especially love the quarter inch plug which I directly plug into my bass guitar for superb sound quality that doesn't bother anyone else in the room. You will not find a better pair of headphones at this price. Highly recomended

These head phones feel cheap, but they sound good.

They fit comfortably, but are quite large. I'm not totally comfortable about tossing them into a backpack.

The earpieces swivel up and down, but not left and right. The headband can be stretched wide which is nice.

I'm probably exaggerating, but these are probably as close to audiophile headphones that you will find in this price range. They sound as good as the Sennheiser Pro HD 280's costing more than twice as much. Good bass, good midrange imaging, and only does the treble sound a bit recessed. These are very sensitive and don't take a great deal of power to drive.

Now for the disclaimer. They have only a large jack for home use. The cord is not coiled, is short, and is quite thin. The materials used on the outside of the headphones, the plastic, seems cheap and I wonder if these will stand the test of time.

Bass is deep and full, the things can withstand maximum volume from my PC with no distortion, even with bass boost. The higher notes are also crisp and clear. I listen to a lot of D&B and these phones put up with the sound very well. They are also very comfortable... I have owned two pairs for about a month now and they have not given me any problems. These sound like a pair of $70-$100 headphones but cost a lot less. Buy these and you will definitely be satisfied!

I felt compelled to write a review on these headphones as few people seem to be using them for mixing/recording. Immediately after receiving these headphones I started listening to a lot of mainstream music. I listened to some songs/albums known for good and bad production/mixing. I compared against a pair of Skullcandy headphones as well as the stereo in my truck.

These headphones do have good clarity and offer a very flat response. The most amazing thing about these headphones is how each part of the mix tends to stand out. If I listen I can clearly hear the drums, hear the bass guitar, hear the acoustic/electric guitar. Many non-studio headphones/speakers are designed to "enhance" music which has the effect of (in my opinion) muddying the low-ends and scooping out some of the high-end.

Some things I discovered listening on these headphones:
- On "About A Girl" on Nirvana's Bleach album you can hear the snare rattling during the opening while the guitar is playing.
- On "Feathers" by Coheed and Cambria you can hear an echo during the intro that sounds like sound echoing down a well.
- On Jack Johnson's "Bubble Toes" you can really hear the "world" drum sound along with the Güiro in one of the parts.

After listening to other artist's music on these headphones and other speakers you get a good idea how your mix will sound when listening on these headphones. My biggest advice is if something sounds faint on these headphones then it likely won't be audible listening on your car or cheap headphones. If something sticks out like a sore thumb its going to do the same on the final mix.

Finally, these headphones are big but comfortable. They can also get quite loud without distorting.

I love these headphones. Producing audio with my PC is possible and the Behringer HPS3000 are so CHEAP! I would have expected to pay twice as much for similar quality. Behringer is my new go-to company for studio grade audio recording gear. I am also very pleased with my Behringer UM2 Audio to PC interface.
