For the Price, Nothing better,

This review is from: Behringer HPS3000 Studio Headphones (Electronics)
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these headphones. I have owned many different styles and brands of headphones in the past and to reach the quality of these one would expect to pay quite alot more than these. The Bass response is unbelievable, High end is crisp and clear. I use them mainly with my computer and the sound is excellent. I can only imagine how they would sound thru a true stereo. If your looking for a great set of headphones believe me, you dont have to pay alot to get great quality. You will be impressed.
UPDATE ON HEADPHONES I purchased these back in jan of 05, and as of July 5, 2006 they are still going strong!! They still work as good as they did the day i recvd them. WOW.. in this day and age.. anything that lasts this long is worth the money....The price of these headphones are still unbelievable!!

Good Headphones For the Price,
By Andrew (Cave Creek, AZ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Behringer HPS3000 Studio Headphones (Electronics)
These headphones are really good, and they aren't priced in excess of $100, like a lot of headphones I found on Amazon. They have a great frequency response, are comfy (although, a little more padding on the band connecting the two earphones might be nice), and they give you a pretty healthy sounding bass. Just what I was looking for.
They come with a quarter-inch headphone jack, so I recommend getting an adapter so that the headphones will plug into the more common sized plug. If you're looking for a decent, sturdy pair of headphones for a low budget, these are the ones to get.

A wonderful buy,
This review is from: Behringer HPS3000 Studio Headphones (Electronics)
Absolutely wonderful headphones. Great sound quality, regardless of the price. I especially love the quarter inch plug which I directly plug into my bass guitar for superb sound quality that doesn't bother anyone else in the room. You will not find a better pair of headphones at this price. Highly recomended

Although these are decent headphones, especially considering the low price, they are not exactly audiophile quality. Unless you're on a really tight budget, if you plan to use headphones mostly to listen to music, you might want to try something like the Sony MDR-XD400 or the Audio-Technica ATH-M40fs, which are still very reasonably priced (well under $100). But the Behringers have a nice, balanced sound. They're fine for listening to TV and video games (and even music, if you're not too fussy).

Audiophile Headphones At A Budget Price,
By Dmitri (Florida - Paradise) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Behringer HPS3000 Studio Headphones (Electronics)
I'm probably exaggerating, but these are probably as close to audiophile headphones that you will find in this price range. They sound as good as the Sennheiser Pro HD 280's costing more than twice as much. Good bass, good midrange imaging, and only does the treble sound a bit recessed. These are very sensitive and don't take a great deal of power to drive.
Now for the disclaimer. They have only a large jack for home use. The cord is not coiled, is short, and is quite thin. The materials used on the outside of the headphones, the plastic, seems cheap and I wonder if these will stand the test of time.

They fit a little tight but sure sound right,

Hey all you amateur record producers, would be engineers, and pro musicians out there!Just set up a new home based recording studio. Funds were tight,
so I purchased three pairs of Hps5000 headphones by Behringer. They sound awesome; good bass response, excellent highs. They sound so much better then my Yamaha monitors. The cons are they fit a little tight, but I`ve only used them about 3 to 5 hrs. I think by about the two month mark they should break in nicely.I also have a really big head; they may be fine for normal sized earthlings. So if you are starting out with a low end budget these are high end sounding for a great price.Run, don`t walk to buy these Hps5000 before they stop making them![ASIN:B000CCIVDO BEHRINGER HPS5000 HIGH PERFORMANCE STUDIO HEADPHONES]]

HEAR ME!!,

I was very skeptical of buying these $20 monitors for my studio. I read dozens of reviews and decided for the price, it would be worth taking a chance on the name "Behringer". I have years of recording experience and record almost daily. I use a MR-8mk2 digital multitracker to record in my home and purchased these Behringer HPS3000 High-Performance Studio Headphones a week ago. I have now had them for a week or so. The moment I put them on to record, I was amazed at the over the ear fit, and how it traps the sound. They are big, that is true for sure but they are light weight and comfortable for long sessions. I have now replaced my JVC monitors with these. I do believe, these are great for ANY home studio. HEAR ME, they are worth every bit of your $20 and some. I am going to go on a limb and say, for my home studio, these are tied with my MR-8mk2 digital multitracker, and MXL condenser mic for the BEST PURCHASE OF 2009!

Great Value - Nice Product,

I bought these to do a vocal recording, they provided feedback to the singers. (Music and vocal mix was aux'd to them) Everyone found them to be comfortable and quiet. Sound quality was great. I have used this product line many times before and found that the price / quality is outstanding. If you ever need pro audio equipment Behringer is the way to go. Many of their products are superior to the big name audio companies. Give them a try.

Just got these in after ordering last week. I really just needed some cans for vocalist to use instead of in-ear monitors. I was hoping that these would at least sound somewhat decent, which they do. But if your wanting great clarity, you get what you pay for. ALWAYS. These will work fine for tracking, they can put out enough volume and they are pretty isolated, so not too much noise will bleeding through, such as a click track. As far as the sound in itself, they are extremely MID heavy. Almost no highs and no lows. The EQ band seems to be pretty narrow, which in-turn cuts layers off that crystal clear tone that your ears want to hear. All being said, they are extremely affordable and are a decent bang for the buck.

Bass is deep and full, the things can withstand maximum volume from my PC with no distortion, even with bass boost. The higher notes are also crisp and clear. I listen to a lot of D&B and these phones put up with the sound very well. They are also very comfortable... I have owned two pairs for about a month now and they have not given me any problems. These sound like a pair of $70-$100 headphones but cost a lot less. Buy these and you will definitely be satisfied!
