ive had theese for over a year now(i have them on at least 4-6 hours a day), and i never regret buying them. theyre cheap and durable, have clean sound with Excellent bass playback (for the price..)

3.0 out of 5 stars not as they appear to be. Good but not good enough!
Well where do i start. lets start with the design. its not so bad but when you try to put them on to get that closed ear kinda thing going, you start to realize that they must have made these things for lil kids or something. MAN THIS THING IS LITTLE. it feels like a very cheap headphone that you would find in walmart or taget or something of that nature. as far as the...

They didnt quite fit my ears well, and theyre uncomfortable to wear for people with long-ish hair, so what i did is i retracted them all the way, and i wear them as a behind-the-neck headphones. this way you get MUCH better "grip" with your years, and sound won't "leak out". Tho you might be getting headaches for wearing them for too long first couple tiems.

k..
PROS: Price(seriously.. 30 bucks?). Sound quality. theyre well built(as i said, im using them for over a year now). 1/8 to 1/4 connector! use them with your guitar amp and PC!
Cons: Cord. Its too short. No mic.... not really a con worth removing a star.
Conclusion: They might seem like a pair of cheap and agile 99c store headphones but theyre not. this is a high-quality product for very VERY cheap. If you are on a budget and you need high-quality headphones no need to look further. this product is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing sound, poor build quality, February 23, 2011
This review is from: Behringer HPS5000 Closed-Type High-Performance Studio Headphones (Electronics)
These things have amazing sound quality. I DJ so I've used a good number of headphones and these suckers blew me away. Most people consider an increased base over mids/high tones to be good sound quality. That's understanding from people who have no idea about anything in sound, because bass sounds nicer to untrained hearing. This pair of headphones is manufactured by a audio equipment company, so sound quality is not their compromise. Strong balance and clarity is lows/mids/high ranges is key and these headphones deliver just that.

The let down is the build quality. The connection in the cord started to break within a month. The connection from one headphone to the other is loosely glued into the back of the headpiece which means it falls out. The otherall construction feels very cheap, plasticky and fragile. This headset is certainly not for heavy users.

MAN THIS THING IS LITTLE. it feels like a very cheap headphone that you would find in walmart or taget or something of that nature. as far as the sound goes, that is where these headphone shine. the sound is great. i've been creating music for a while now and these are some great sounding headphones. and the price that comes with this is pretty good as well. if you're looking for some great studio headphones and you dont wanna break out the big bucks for them. this is a pretty good deal but i heard that the HPS3000 is better and they fit better as well. i havent tried them yet but as far as the HPS5000. they are a lot smaller than they look on the pics that you see online. do your research first before purchasing these. trust me. im not mad at this purchase because of the sound but i definately dont like the feel and comfort of these headphones. they're good but not good enough. definatelly not what they appear to be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very durable, August 29, 2007

This review is from: Behringer HPS5000 Closed-Type High-Performance Studio Headphones (Electronics)
Not only do these headphones produce amazing sound, they last through alot. I can't tell you how many times they've fallen on the floor and such and they still work great (i've had them for 1+ years) When they're on you can't hear a single thing around around you... and I mean NOTHING which is great for studio work.

3.0 out of 5 stars they sound okay but they didnt fit my ears, December 22, 2007
This review is from: Behringer HPS5000 Closed-Type High-Performance Studio Headphones (Electronics)
maybe i have a big head but, the bottoms of the headphones do not cover my ears. sound leaks out, bass is lost. i would have to use a blowtorch to re-shape the plastic in order to make it fit my ears squarely. i dont want to do that, so i think i'm just going to send em back if i can. these headphones feel very cheap. what did i expect for four jacksons?

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheaply Manufactured-Sucks, January 11, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Behringer HPS5000 Closed-Type High-Performance Studio Headphones (Electronics)
This Product is Cheaply Manufactured. I had it less than twenty days when the headphone shorted out.
It has the inability to handle high volume levels before the diaphragm will blow out.

3.0 out of 5 stars accurate sound, good bass, uncomfortable earcups, May 22, 2011
This review is from: Behringer HPS5000 Closed-Type High-Performance Studio Headphones (Electronics)
I want to like these headphones, the sound is clean and accurate with solid bass. Sadly, the HPS5000 is the most uncomfortable headset I've ever owned. The ear cups are small and stiff, the overhead plastic band feels like a clamp and is poorly adjustable. Ten minutes and I'm ready to settle for the ratty little speakers in my laptop.
