Our revolutionary high-density Class-D technology combined with ultra-efficient switch-mode power supplies ensures these feather-light powerhouses will drive your rig effortlessly for many years to come. Superb transient response. We spent years fine-tuning the high-density Class-D technology that gives the iNUKE Series its oomph. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, these amps react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. When this amazing amplifier technology is combined with our state-of-the-art switching-mode power supplies, these amplifiers provide tremendous punch. And because they are so much more efficient than conventional designs, they run cooler and don't require the massive heat sinks and heavy toroid transformers typically associated with their conventional counterparts. Sublimely simple operation The front panel controls and indicators provide your system's vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power button, the Power LED lights to show the amp is ready for action. All channels feature positive-detent Gain controls with Signal LEDs that light when a signal is present, as well as clip LEDs to indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the input signal.

The previous reviewer must have bought from a crappy retailer. I can recommend UniqueSquared. Got two NU1000DSP and a NU3000 so far from these guys at a good price through Amazon, sent fairly fast, definitely brand new, and working fine. Just called them about stock on another NU3000 and learned they have a nice direct purchase thing, so I guess I'll stop buying through Amazon, heh.

Really amazingly good amps. Minimal residual carrier left on the signal, only about 1V RMS on the NU1000, and the switching frequency is pretty high, like about 350 kHz, so totally safe for your tweeters and shouldn't cause interference with your other gear.

Only thing is you have to de-rate the power a bit if you are interested in knowing the power available for a pure sine wave. The ratings seem to be quoted for a signal with significant complexity, which is real-world and a fair thing to do, but hard to compare. I'd say the maximum RMS sine wave power is about 90% of the ratings.

If fan noise is a problem for you (and these are noisy fans, even though the motors are brushless and thus pretty fancy), you can get away with running these moderately hard with the fan removed. When they overheat, they gracefully shut down, and once cool, run like nothing happened. FWIW, I need the fans out myself, so for one of my applications where I needed a bit more power, I just went up to the NU3000 from the NU1000 for minimal extra cash and stopped getting shutdowns.

These are very light, partly because they're switchers, and partly because the front panel and the rack handles are plastic, so be sensible and don't throw these as fast and far as you can into your van or whatever -- only throw them as far as you might be able to toss a comparably powered analog amp.

It's cheap
If you want something relatively low power, this could be a good fit.
Would work great for amplification of a podium mike -- people speaking.

Lacks 1/4" outputs - requires speakon to 1/4 adapter if you want to run 1/4" TS cables.
Audio is not that clean...sounds muddy by comparison to better amps.
Power ratings are misleading - they are peak ratings, not RMS

I bought some old Behringer monitors used and ran them on a friends QSC power amp...and they sounded really clear and good. I was frankly surprised how good they sounded. So I decided to add this Behringer power amp for use in my studio with the same monitors. However, with this amp, they sounded muddy and not that great.

It's not works, but it's not the crisp clear sound I got from the QSC amp. Gotta say, not really a fan, but if you need an amp for something like people speaking at a podium, this could work well. For music...I'd recommend something clearer if you want really good sound. It works, and of course you have to be realistic at the price point which is pretty can use it for music but it's no match for a better quality amp in terms of the sound quality.

Wanted to like it but just put it up for sale on craigslist. Should have returned it but I'm a little too late for that.
3 stars = "It's ok".

At first sight this is an exceptional value. I was able to power a pair of 15" 500w PA speakers and the output was impressive. I should mention I matched the load on the outputs, using two 8 ohm PA speakers in stereo then using those same two speakers at 4 ohm in bridged mode. I was able to use mine for about 30 minutes and it sounded sweet in both configurations. This was just an in house test setup during a dry run before a gig.

Unfortunately after the third time turning it on, the amp did not power up. No signs of life no matter how much I prayed to the music gods, stamped my feet on the floor and clenched fists at my side with an angry look on my face.

I've been had! - I thought. Tricked! Swindled! Bam-boozled!

Ah, if only I'd paid attention to the reviews I read a week before: DOA, dead after x days, dead after a few gigs.
Well, add me to the list. I sent it back for full refund. Maybe someday I'll take a gamble on Behringer again.

I needed a power amp to run our stage monitors and after looking around I decided to give this one a try and I'm glad I did. Not many reviews on this amp online but before you bash this amp make sure your running it right or you might not think it's that great! You have to know ohms etc. You need to run this amp at least at 4ohms a side. So,if you have two 8ohm speakers you would need to run both of them from one side of the amp. Any how if your here reading this you should already know how to run power amps.
Like I said I am running our stage monitors with this amp and it does a great job. We have plenty of head room for our 4 monitors with this amp. I'm getting ready to ad a subwoofer setup with our mains and going to buy another Inuke series amp to run it as well. These amps are top notch!
