5.0 out of 5 stars INCREDIBLE BUY!!!
I just picked up this baby for my BDay, after having my old faithful Trace Elliot die on me. Money is tight and so I took a chance, man I'm glad I did! This baby is C.L.E.A.N with a capital C! Even on the lowest settings the tone is full and rich, and it even comes with an effects loop, balanced DI, and 2 button footswitch! While the "Ultrabass" is more of a gimmick (it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Tradeoff For Low Price
This amp is intended for live performance in smaller venues. It is loud enough to match the kick drum. It provides a solid deep bass sound.

The equalizer is great. Bass players will likely crank up the ultra bass and will set the equalizer to maximize the lowest tones. Bass amps are often used to amplify acoustic instruments like violin, dobro, banjo, or...

This review is from: Behringer ULTRABASS BXL3000 300-Watt 2-Channel Bass Workstation (Electronics)
While the "Ultrabass" is more of a gimmick (it is a classic Octavier effect) the clean channel is VERY clean, and the second channel can (thanks to the shape knob for just that channel) give you either a completely separate tone (great for those that have more than one bass) or you can crank the gain for a nice meaty distortion that still gives you plenty of punch.

So don't be fooled by the low price like I almost was. This baby is VERY well built, quality design through and through, with all the features you could ask for whether rocking a club or recording. I like this sweetheart so much my next purchase will be the 45 watt version so I can have a practice amp with the same great tone. This amp is a steal! Oh and it sounds lush and great even on 5 string, with no fuzz or rattle! Great amp!

3.0 out of 5 stars Tradeoff For Low Price, June 27, 2010
This review is from: Behringer ULTRABASS BXL3000 300-Watt 2-Channel Bass Workstation (Electronics)
This amp is intended for live performance in smaller venues. It is loud enough to match the kick drum. It provides a solid deep bass sound.

The equalizer is great. Bass players will likely crank up the ultra bass and will set the equalizer to maximize the lowest tones. Bass amps are often used to amplify acoustic instruments like violin, dobro, banjo, or mandolin so is is convenient to be able to boost high tones.

The on-board compressor does not seem to have any effect on eliminating unwanted noise.

The amp has a persistent annoying hum that cannot be canceled.

This amp is very powerful & has a lot of features. The price I paid was unbeatable ($242). Unfortunately it was too powerful for an apartment. It rattled the floor on the slightest volume. I had to exchange it for the BXL900.

This is a great amp for my needs. Smooth ordering and quick delivery to my door. I recently purchased the Behringer 300 w keyboard amp and it was so great that I bought the 300 w Bass amp also.

This amp is remarkable. The power is there but a big bulky amp is not.I like the fact that I can practice using headphones. This is truly an amplification system.

This amp is awesome. I've had around 5 bass ambut ps including solid state and tube. Or cabinet/head combos. So far this takes the cake. No feedback no buzzing or humming which is pretty common in combos like this. Do yourself a favor and buy this if you gig.
