I purchased this amp last August to use with my Nord C1 and Casio WK-8000 keyboards. My initial impression was quite positive - lots of power and features for little money. Ten months later I'm happy to report that nothing has changed that opinion.

I'm just an amateur musician who plays for fun, alone and with friends. However I did play in a rock band as a teenager and have owned several amps from Gibson, Baldwin, Marshall and others, including a Leslie 145. Therefore I have some knowledge of what to expect from an amp.

The amp features four pair of stereo inputs, a seven band equalizer and an array of 100 built-in effects. The effects sound fine but most keyboards have similar ones built-in. The equalizer is a nice plus that allows a good range of tonal control. I see that some reviewers complain there should be different EQ controls for each input. While this would be nice, at this price you can't have everything.

The amp is advertised at 300 watts but nothing in the specifications state how that rating was arrived at. A reviewer on another site says the amp actually contains four 75 watt amps, meaning full power is only available when all four inputs are used. I feel this is probably the case as running the output from the Nord into channel 1L & 2L sounds better than 1L & 1R. Furthermore, 300 watts is almost certainly a peak rating, making the true RMS rating more like 37 1/2 watts x 4. This is not to say that the amp doesn't have lots of punch as it certainly does, I'm just trying to promote a little truth-in-advertising. The 15" bass speaker is solid with no buzzing. Some people have complained of crackling from the horn tweeter but I've heard none (and I've listened for it).

Build quality appears to be fine. The controls work smoothly and everything is rock solid. I've had no issues of any kind and I often crank it up. It's heavy, but a decent keyboard amp is going to be. The only slight misstep on Behringer's part is that the 100 built-in special effects aren't described anywhere in the instruction manual. You can go the Behringer's web site and download a list but why they don't include one is anyone's guess.

I bought mine on sale for just under $300 shipped. At that price this amp is a steal. Even at the normal street price of $330-350 I don't think you can do better.

I bought this to be used for whatever i might need it for. it has yet to let me down! I play a bass guitar and use this amp. i turned this amp up to a quarter volume level and this thing shook the ENTIRE HOUSE! no joke! and with such clarity. I always complained when my guitarist would completely drown out my bass. i bought this and now i have NO problem drowning his guitar out. its awesome. also great for a portable PA system. the effects board is awesome, and I love the stereo inputs and outputs. I also love the sub out for connection to a PA sub. I also love the connectivity to other amps via xlr.

simply put: ITS AWESOME!!! definitely worth the price!!!

Pros: Great general purpose PA. I've played guitar, bass, vocals, and drum samples though it simultaneously with good results. You can't find a better sounding, more versatile amp for the price. Solidly built with no problems so far.

Cons: Heavy. Wheels would be nice.
