Where are the tubes?

Ask any guitarist what they want most from an amp and they'll answer with a single word - TONE. That quest for tone drove us to develop our family of VIRTUBE amplifiers. Our proprietary VTC (Virtual Tube Circuitry) gives these amazing amps their in-your-face tube-amp tone. Amps with such rich, harmonic character and buttery tube-like goodness, you'll wonder where we hid the tubes.

All VIRTUBE amps have split personalities: one that features dulcet-clean output, and one that drives your tone with an aggressive punch that only tubes, or our VTC modeling, can generate. So when the time comes, you'll be ready for everything from mellow blues to metal mayhem.

Revolutionary VTC Technology

The secret behind VIRTUBE's incredible sound is our VTC Tube Modeling processor, which exudes the very essence of tube saturation and compression. But VTC does so much more than just generate a cheap copy of a specific amp character. It accurately emulates the interaction between classic tube stages, responding to the subtle tonal changes that occur when one stage hands the signal off the next. The resulting signal is rich in harmonic content and far more true to the nature of tube amps.

Two-Channel Operation

VIRTUBE's Clean channel is elegant in its simplicity. The sound is open and uncolored and can be tailored to your needs by Volume and the analog passive equalizer. The Overdrive channel features Gain, Volume, Bass, Treble and our proprietary Contour control, with its radical midrange sweep. All this versatility enables you to artfully define your "perfect" tone, from traditional to scooped modern and anything in-between.

Digital FX

All VIRTUBE models, with the exception of the VT15CD, come with state-of-the-art effects - and not some cheap-and-cheesy reverb chip, but a full-blown 24-bit digital effects processor with 16 great-sounding reverbs, choruses, flangers and delays. This tasty collection of effects is a must-have for any guitarist and includes room, stage, concert and cathedral reverbs, slap-back and medium echoes, two long delays, plus slow and fast modulation effects - all right at your fingertips.

Handmade Speakers

It takes a special speaker to handle all this incredible technology, tube-like tone and brutal output power. That's why we fit each VIRTUBE combo with handmade, heavy-duty BUGERA Vintage Guitar speakers. These babies were custom-designed and handcrafted specifically for the VIRTUBE Series, and are ideally suited for classic sound reproduction.

Get Connected

Whether you're recording or just jamming on your latest riff, you need the right connections - VIRTUBE really has you covered. The PHONES/LINE OUT B jack is much more than just a place for your headphones to call home. As the name implies, this jack can also be used to send your guitar signal, with speaker simulation, to another amp or mixer.* When the PHONES/ LINE OUT B jack is in use, the internal loudspeaker is muted, allowing you to crank your guitar into the wee morning hours, without bothering the neighbors. If you'd like to play along with previously recorded tracks, just plug the output of your CD/Tape/mp3 deck into the CD IN/LINE OUT A jack. This jack also serves a second purpose, providing yet another Line Out, this time without speaker simulation.*

* Note: Use a standard 1/4" TS cable to connect this linelevel signal to the destination device. If a hum is detected, or the cable run is more than a few feet, you may get better results using a Direct Injection box, like our DI100 or DI20.

This amp give me the real deal when it comes to sounding like either a warm clean tube sound or an overdriven monster you can hear the difference when you turn the tube simulator off and play and turn it back on for a great price and not in the thousand dollar range Amazon gives you a good deal!

This amp is amazing. It's cheap and built to last. I bought this amp because I joined a band and needed a powerful amp for gigs. This is amazing, just as good as a $500 amp, but way cheaper, and way better. The awesome 2 channel amp with built in effects is amazing! The clean channel sounds beautiful, and the overdrive channel is perfect for heavy metal distortion. The VTC (Virtual Tube Circuit) provides awesome tube driven sounds. This amp is amazing and perfect for any pro playing small gigs in bars.

This is a Great bang for your buck amp head. For a non tube amp, the tone is surprisingly good. The effects are not bad and it has some nice features.

On the minus side the amp is not real loud. It is no where near 100 (tube) watts. It would be adequate for a small venue or a bar but if you need a lot of power.... this amp won't do it.

It sounds better through a 4X12 cabinet than a 2X12. You need to run 4 ohms to get max. power.

All in all I give it a 8 out of 10 for a good amp!

If you have read my reviews on Guitar Amps you know I own pretty much all of them.
I teach Guitar lessons and recently purchased a Peavey Vypyr 30 and donated it to my local Highschool.
The Kids love it, however they are having a Talent Contest and my Marshall MG30CFX, my Line 6 Spider IV 30 and the Peavey Vypyr 30 all get drowned out by the Drums in the Auditorium.
Now there is no way I'm going to allow anyone to use my Marshall JVM410H Joe Satriani Edition head and Marshall 1960 Full Stack, so I purchased this Behringer VT100FXH for them and Purchased a Marshall MG412A Half Stack and donated it to the school also. This combination sounds awesome, for less than $400 It can't be beat, and seeing the youth of today playing live in front of their first audience, feeling like rock stars is priceless, I'm just glad I could help them out!

I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive when I bought this amp but I figured after all the good reviews I had read it was worth a shot. I have had a lot of the big name amps (Fender Twin Reverb, Carr Rambler, Acoustic Image) and this amp favorably compares to all of them - better than the Acoustic Image and Twin Reverb and close to the Carr. My purpose is a clean tone for jazz - I am NOT a rocker. This amp has a superb clean sound and I am extremely pleased. This will make a great practice amp to save the tubes on my other amps and is easily good enough for a live performance as well. You cannot go wrong with this - superb sound and very nice quality - it is more than worth the money. I recommend it 100%.

For the price, this is one of the best amps I've ever played. It's worth noting, however, that its size is slightly different from what is listed. It's cheap and reliable and worth the cost.

I found it to be 23" wide, 10" deep, 9.5" tall (counting the feet).

It plays beautifully, but most people I know can't hear a difference between the Virtube mode being on or off... but it does sound better than most non-tube amps I've heard.

I saw a lot of mixed reviews researching this amp. The tube modulation really impressed me and I have owned Marshall and Crate VC tube amps. Warmth and tone were reasonably comparable and due to the price paid for this model, quite impressive, in both the clean and overdrive channels. Effects are nice addition and simple to adjust for playing around, though a performance oriented player may want a little more in terms of programming and diversity. The knobs are a little plasic feeling, but again, at the price, should they be anodized stainless steel? You might want to check the ohms on the cabinet you top with this. If I paid twice the money, I would still rate it 4 stars, knobs ;), and be happy. If you are looking for perfection to go with your custom guitar worth thousands, buy a high end tube amp with the bells and whistles. This will deliver on it's promises for everyone else looking for a great amp at a very reasonable price.
