Excelent for personal sound!,
This review is from: Behringer XENYX 1002FX 10-Channel Mixer (Electronics)
I have a small digital studio and I needed to connect my computer, two keyboards and a drum machine at the same time. I liked to have some reverb, all in one in a little space so... bingo!!! I found the Behringer Xenyx 1002FX. I recommend it to everyone !!!

Behringer 1002 is super,

I am so happy with my new Behringer 1002Fx mixer. I am using to it to feed mp3 and voice into a guitar amp. Using the CD input select into mix works like a charm. A very clean sound and the reverb is beautiful. A lot of bang for your buck here. This is my first Behringer product but it won't be my last.

I bought this mixer as this is one part of my karaok system. Actually I just need the basic function which will mix the voice and music together. It works well.

Needed to mix XLR guitar, XLR mic, and 1/4TS keyboard together. This was just the trick. The reverb can be adjusted per channel, so we give the mic the most and keep the guitar dry. Phantom power drives the guitar direct box. Working like a charm for about a month now. True, there's no power switch--we use a switchable power strip to control power to the whole setup. Build quality seems quite good, and audio quality suits us just fine. Recommending this one to friends. I think it compares very favorably to the more costly compacts from Mackie and Yamaha, and I have used all 3 brands. Can't speak to durability yet.

Small and lightweight mixer with a built in effect processor is nice to carry around and for gatherings at friends place. Appreciate the simple interface. However, there are room for improvement even at this price point. They are ... 1) A smaller power adapter with a standard plug would be nice 2) Option for both TRS and XLR connector for main out would be great

This is a great little mixer if you want to do online performances. Has 2 mic inputs with phantom power and accompanying preamps built in, sound FX built in, and multiple inputs for stereo or mono. The only drawback that I can find with it is that it does not have a power switch. You either have to leave it on all the time, or unplug it. Not a real big deal but it would have been nice to just be able to turn it off when I'm not using it. Still, for the money, this is a great little mixer and I would highly recommend it.

This unit is small and portable, lightweight, noise is minimal. Mic input EQ is excellent!
Effects for the inputs are OK.. The only BIG Con is the blue led indicating the unit is ON... OMG! so bright it hurts your eyes when you are adjusting levels or the EQ.. NO Kidding! I'll just put a piece of electrical insulator tape (black) on top of it.... The other issue : There is no power switch, you have to unpluggit if you will not be using it, I always store it away so this is not a big issue for me, but if you're keeping it in a fixed location, consider pluggin it to a power strip.

I bought this unit wanting just a few more features, as I currently have the XENYX802. I used the latter in a very compact portable stage setup, and I appreciated that in almost the exact same space, I now had a few additional input channels, along with build in effects. I have an external reverb in my 802 setup, so I figured this unit would save me some space. But look closely! This unit has no EQ adjust ability on anything other than its two mic channels. There are a few other compromises, and it all comes down to this... you can't add more channels, plus effects in the same space, without running out of room for controls, so some things had to go in this design. Ultimately i returned mine, as it also had a factory defect. But had that not been the case, I don't think I'd have been satisfied for long with the missing features, so in the end I took a refund rather than a replacement.

I bought this mixer with my swagbuck earnings- basically got it free- so- I really cannot complain. The reverb is excellent- especially for vocalists like myself. The sound is excellent and VERY clear. The only thing I don't like is the beaming blue led light. It's extremely bright! Blindingly bright! I placed some black tape over it so I won't go blind. Other than that... I love it!
