Start your journey in Hawaii, collecting souvenirs and coins from each completed task and use those to unlock additional exotic locations. At the easy level young children can practice object identification and word association. As they advance, challenge them to find objects associated with letters helping to unlock new locations. Find a fan in Japan, or maybe even a lizard in Egypt! Each locale is beautifully animated with ample visual and spoken instruction and a unique catchy soundtrack.

1.0 out of 5 stars Paid Ap With Adds June 26, 2014
Verified Purchase
This game opens, first screen with an add. When a children's PAID app starts with an add, big RED FLAG. Don't let you children spend you money for you. Do not buy this game.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Spy Too Many Ads! *Update* June 26, 2014
Verified Purchase
*UPDATE 30Jun2014: The initial open advert has been removed although the pause advert is still present, which I still dislike in a young children's game. However, that one (as well as the More Games link on the main menu) is locked behind a multiplication problem, so unless your child is particularly precocious in mathematical knowledge, it should be OK.*

Now lil Suzy can be just like mommy playing her favorite Hidden Object games! I SPY WITH LOLA is a children's game that takes the HO genre into the youth market far better than many previous offerings... including the "just like the real thing" floating ads. Well, I suppose one can use it as a trainer for Ignoring Ads, which is such an important aspect of modern adult life. However, this neat game, which I would otherwise praise effusively, takes the advertising too far. I would dislike it in a game for myself, but to have this level of consistent popups in a kid's game takes it a notch too far.

● Network Permission: Does contain Google Analytics, but with just Network (and External Memory Access), it's limited to anonymous data collection. Although no adware modules are detected, at the very first screen we get our very first advert after a disturbing DOWNLOADING text. Sure, it's a children's game freebie, but it takes you straight into the Amazon App Store or Browser Website (depending on default - I have neither set as a default, so I always get the choice screen). The Main Menu link and the big floater you get in the Pause screen are locked behind an ingenious "multiplication equation" lock, but I personally really dislike that sort of thing in games I play for myself. And the ads don't stop here...

I understand that this game was for young children but it was so repetitive that it wasn't enjoyable. Firstly, the music was so loud you couldn't hear the narrator's voice. I check parent section but no option to turn down or off music. Secondly, there are only three sections opened at the beginning of the game and you have to compete each section on each levels prior to earning another level. Thirdly, in the individual levels the same items keep coming up over and over again. Lastly, the definitions for the items on the hard level was not age appropriate for preschool children.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant, Entertaining Fun for Little Tikes June 26, 2014
Verified Purchase
A cute and vibrantly colorful Hidden Object game. This takes Kids around the world to 12 countries in search of required items. Each country has 3 Levels and child gets to select a souvenir from that country when completed. There are 3 Difficulty categories to choose from so all totaled, you can play 108 levels. The style of Clue and degree of hiding objects is different in each dificulty category to increase challenges. The player can play any level again by just selecting it. When you replay a level, it changes the positions or locations of hidden objects so it is not too boring. The Music is nice and the Narrator does a great job. Graphics are great and help keep Kids engaged and entertained. NOTE: You need to Swipe screen left and right to see all objects.

Overall, a SAFE and Entertaining Kids app that helps them with hand-eye coordination and analytical skills. Good positive reinforcement and letting them choose Souvenir's is a great feature. Suitable and appropriate for Kids ages 3-8. It requires Network Permissions and installs Google Analytics (to track play). It also has persistent Pop-Up Ads for other apps. I have to deduct 1 Star for this annoyance in a PAID app for Kids. Fortunately, they added a Parental block with a required number calculation. But some Kids can easily get past that. I found that it will play with WiFi off also. Note: No sound control options either so you will have to adjust your device sound levels to adjust this.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm impressed! June 26, 2014

I opened the app to find a screen of things I was dreading my kids to open. Thankfully, everything I touched made a calculator pop up with a multiplication problem. Type in the answer, and you can get pass. Obviously, if your kids know how to solve this, it's not so effective. For my kids, perfect! They touch everything.
The language settings has 12 available languages. Not bad for a children's app. That's the only readily available setting. I assume the easy level will unlock the harder. And there are only a few places available to do a search in. As you complete them, you get coins to unlock the other places.
My 4 year old loves hidden pictures. He can do them all day. I think he would enjoy this. It's cute. Good pronunciation. Educational in show the word of the object as they are saying it and showing a picture. You can't lose.

The first thing that pops up on the game is not the game but a page to touch to try another game. It takes you to the internet and to the Amazon app store. Once you get to the main screen there is a calculator and parents have to enter the answer to the problem to move on into that restricted section. What a joke, why do it now after you have already let the child go to the internet on the first screen?

Your child gets to travel around the world and in various locations find hidden objects. Part of the screen is hidden so you have to scroll the screen from left and right. After a bit of time the object that they are looking for begins to flash to help them. There is a voice that helps the child. After you solve the hidden object part of that location you get to select a souvenir to take with you in a suitcase. The app also gives you a few coins and adds them to you coin total.

You get to select a difficulty level but on my tablet they were locked except for easy once you selected easy. You are forced to play the entire game at the easy level before you can move to another skill level. Also some of the worldwide locations to visit are locked. The voice tells you the name of the item you are looking for and if you touch the wrong one then it tells you the name of the object you touched.

The graphics are simple but effective and the audio is good with a theme for the area of the world you are in. I rated the app at 4 stars as I deducted one star for the pop up game to buy when the app opens. That should be removed.

The game only has 3 open levels and when you complete them you get to see Lola fly home. The medium level only tells you the first letter of the item to look for and shows you the darkened photo of the item.
