I loved the Beijing 2008 Olympic Opening Ceremony especially the one in mandarin it was very lovely with alot of artistic chinese culture that I will treasure forever the best Olympic Ceremony that I love to watch over and over. I didn't care for the one in NBC I watched it was very nice but they cut out alot of other things that they didn't show and way too many commercials. The mandarin version has no commercials. The language is spoken in mandarin and english.

buyer beware: it is a copy of a home recording. the quality is poor and it is not worth $22! It is not a professional product. However, if you are chinese and are looking for something in cantonese and dont care about the non-sharp image of the product then go for it. I was disappointed that I had to pay for such an unprofessional product at such a ripe off price.

It is a rip-off. It is a 4:3 ratio program put on a DVD to deceive buyers. The quality is VHS at best. Whatever the recording source is, the DVD encoding program distorted the resulting video image. It should be rate a zero star, if one is available.

Someone downloaded some video from the internet and made a fake package. What a complete and total waste of money. I feel like an idiot for falling for this trash.

The product was described as not being a bootleg copy. Once I opened the package, I noticed: The dvd art design cover was a cheap-looking fuzzy copy; the media surface was of a purple tint (indicative of dvd-r or dvd+r of some sort).

Once I slipped the disc into the player, there was no menu options or chapters to choose from.

The image quality was a disappointment. This item deserves a one star.

Very very disappointed DVD, image quality is the worst i ever saw; they were so bad the two dics that i throw them directly to the garbage, 22 dollars for nothing. Never buy this product.

It is a 4:3 ratio VHS quality program put on a DVD disc. I should have read the other reviews. It is not even worth a one star. It did the ceremony injustice.

I had to buy this dvd for my family who wanted to view this special moment in Cantonese. What a great way to watch the Beijing Olympics in China from a chinese narrator. It was like watching the Olympics from China itself. These dvds included alot of scenes not in the US version.
The only dis-like about my purchase would have to be the amateur recorded version of the product. It is not the proffesional taped commentary you may see from commercially sold dvds. With that said, it made these two discs as if my electronic savvy uncle had recorded them for us to watch.

The product works well for my cantanese speaking mother in law. I recommend this product for all cantonese speaking viewers that want to see the ceremony from the perspective of Hong Kong TVB. The commentary and explanations were more accurate and detailed than the US NBC version. The DVD's are not in high definition as couple other buyers commented. The product was shipped and delivered quickly.

What can I say than wow....it was better than the NBC showcase on TV. Uncut and spectacular.
