This Fuwa set is an excellent momento of the 2008 Beijing Games. The mascots are cute and reflect the cultural heritage of the host country. It comes in a nice quality box, which is great because most people will want to leave the actual dolls inside there, for which it serves its purpose as a display case. The display box is about 2 feet long so it's quite big! I wanted something to remember the Olympics but couldn't figure out what -- things like replica gold medals, cups, etc, seemed rather cheezy items so when I saw this product I knew I had to get it!

The dolls are only about a couple inches high but are big enough to see across a room. The quality of the dolls are very high, well stitched together with bright bold colors just as you see in the Fuwa logos. These are not cruddy carnival quality dolls for sure. Surely will be a collector's item well into the future but Im sure most people will just want to keep it for themselves for that sentimental value and pass down to their children. And finally, take heart in knowing that these dolls were indeed Made in China -- all the more fitting to the occasion.

I'm glad I decided to buy these little guys. They are so adorable. I wish they would have been featured more during the Olympics. Product is awesome, delivery time was quick.

My main priorities when choosing this set was 1.) quality of materials and 2.) likeness to Han Meilin's designs. I was not disappointed whatsoever. These FUWA have been manufactured in a number of sizes. This particular set is the same size as what have been coined as "UFO Catcher Dolls". Other sizes (not included in this set) that I have found are bigger than these, 8" tall, and sold at $16.95 for EACH member of the FUWA. I believe that, dividing it up, $10.00 per figure, plus official packaging, was an extremely reasonable price for a limited collectors item.

As a tiny added bonus, included within the box, there is a fold-out circular pamphlet that explains in Chinese, and in English, background history of the FUWA and what they represent.

I am very happy with my purchase--so happy in fact that I purchased two sets! I think that this is a great collectors item for anyone. Whether you are an Olympics enthusiast, a collector of "plushed animals", a hobbyist interested in foreign goods, or just need something light and happy to brighten your day, this set of FUWA is a great addition to your home.

We loved the Beijing Olympic mascots! They are adorable and quite possibly a collector's item. The price was a bit steep, but no one was offering any bargains during the games.
