By Lisa Sieger (Chicago, IL.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Being Better than My Best : How You Can Raise Your Own Bar By Recreating Who You Really Are! (Paperback)
This book is incredibly motivating. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting!!! It has language that is easy to comprehend and to carry with you once you put the book down. I hear the words in my mind many times throughout the day. They have very thought provoking ideas that make you really stop and notice how you are conducting your life and what choices you make. Those choices, in turn, affect the rest of your day and so on. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a "lift." I also recommend it for team building ideas and motivation!!! It works great!!!

The Title Says It All,

This review is from: Being Better than My Best : How You Can Raise Your Own Bar By Recreating Who You Really Are! (Paperback)
At first, I wondered about the title. How can anyone be better than their best? It struck me as catchy, but illogical. Then I started reading. Within moments--after reading the introduction and the first chapter, the authors had made a believer of me. It is possible to be better than your best. If you don't believe it, buy the book. It's a fun book to read. Lots and lots of excellent quotes. I particularly liked simple but powerful story Jay told about a lesson he learned at a candy shop with a word for the day. The book summarizes in simple but unforgettable language some of the most important truths we know about human motivation.

HOW TO ENHANCE THE EXPERIENCES IN YOU LIFE TEN FOLD,
By Michele Maraviglia (Elmwood Park, Il USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Being Better than My Best : How You Can Raise Your Own Bar By Recreating Who You Really Are! (Paperback)
"Being better than my best," how you can raise your own bar, by Dan and Marie Lena. This book is a powerful tool for individuals looking to change the way modern society has us believing life is the way it is. What's meant by that for example is: Did you ever notice how on the news you never hear about anything good. It's always some disaster, someone got shot, or some scandal ring that leads all the way up to our judicial system which is this country's leading law makers. Sounds like a double standard huh! What this book does is gives you new ways to see the world, in a new light if you would. This book can help you excel past your dreams if you are a student, parent, or a practicing professional. This book will teach the most important facets of how to raise your experience in life, that is in yours as well as others. Some of the issues discussed in this book will help you determine what is your best and how to stay motivated to reach your goals. A problem solving technique that will take the stress out of any situation and how to play big to win. It will tell you how to succeed with your soul using the S.E.L.L. formula (if you can't tell it you can't sell it,) in conjunction with the T.E.A.M. (together everyone achieves more.) You will also learn leadership qualities that will put you ahead of the pack. These two authors have had the privilege in helping the leaders at some fortune 500 companies which is very good info if you pursue this type of job. None the less these are great tools for you that can be used in all areas in life. There is something here for me to know, the knowing of which could change everything.

I very much enjoyed this book. It is an easy read full of down-to-earth advice. It is inspirational and motivating. Danny and Marie Lena imbued every word with a positive attitude that shows the readers how to be our best. I highly recommend this book to anyone who feels a need for change, for action. It is a marvellous tool for anyone at a crossroads in life, from teenagers to more mature individuals. I'm in the latter category and I found, in these pages, the motivation I needed to make some improvements in my life. A wonderful addition to any library, to any life.

Being Better than My Best - by Danny & Marie Lenas,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Being Better than My Best : How You Can Raise Your Own Bar By Recreating Who You Really Are! (Paperback)
I began reading this book last week and I haven't put it down yet! Excellent book! This masterpiece will definitely enlighten many people. "Being Better than My Best" has a fresh perspective and "speaks" to you in a positive, inspiring way. There are many (too much to list!) tips on how to improve ourselves, our personal lives and dealing with others. Life is simplied. What a concept! "You Can't Sell It If You Can't Tell It" is a marvelous insight not only to our (career) presentations but how to "sell" ideas, your vision, and yourself. It makes you aware that we are constantly "selling" and "sales" is not just limited to a "sales" job description. "The Word for Today" really encourages you to think "Outside the Box" and view things from all angles. It gives you a new perspective on life each day which is a beginning to recreating your day, your life, and your self. This is a Marvelous book and inspiration. I will be ordering 10-12 books for my team as well as gifts to many friends and family members. Kudos to Marie & Danny Lenas on an Excellent voyage to help us achieve "Being Better than My Best"! Sincerely, Maria Inguaggiato Administrative Assistant
