Book Description

2007
What if you could read a book that took you on the journey of understanding how to live life from your heart, from the moment, from your own joy and from your own power? What if you could read a book that explained not only where you may have sacrificed that joy, but more importantly, the real and effective steps you can take to get that power back? 'Being Centered: Positively Contagious!' is a blue print for reclaiming our lives and reconnecting to the source of our own power. Roman Oleh Yaworsky's most recently published book, is a guide for healing the spirit and the heart. It takes a very different perspective in revealing the journey of transformation. It asks the basic questions: How did we lose our authentic self? And how do we find it again? In a series of revealing and penetrating chapters, the author traces how we tend to give away our uniqueness, our joy and our power and how we can return to integrity and authenticity...our true nature. This is a book that goes to the heart of the matter: an original and revolutionary book based on real experiences and practical knowledge. It reveals the underlying causes that separate people from their integrity and core. 'Being Centered: Positively Contagious!' has truly broken new ground in understanding the difference between feelings and emotions and the way we hold past issues. Amazingly easy to read, practical and insightful, this book lays the foundation for true healing. It will transform how you approach your life for yourself. The author has divided the book into three parts, beginning with the foundation for how we lose our inner child and the difference between feelings and emotions. The second part focuses on the nature and power of relationship, not only on the outside but inwardly with our own heart, mind and spirit. Finally we are guided through the practical journey of healing to reintegrate our power, will, heart and responsibility to our own selves. Printed on acid free paper. 278 pages.

Practical and Wise October 6, 2009
BEING CENTERED explains how our life is a spiritual journey, and it gives practical advice for how to focus on and achieve mental and spiritual well being: how to "reconnect to our power, joy, and healing." Moreover, Roman Yaworsky conveys considerable wisdom about human behavior, as well as insight into the various pitfalls we often encounter on our life journeys. For instance, a chapter on Regaining Your Power points out, in bold face type so you don't miss it, that you never truly lose your power or give it away, you give away your "responsibility for using your power, your responsibility to derive benefit from it, or your responsibility to experience the joy of being in your power."

Yaworsky then goes on to discuss at length the benefits of owning our power, and he provides concrete exercises to help achieve this, such as a "Will Recovery Checklist" that identifies specific things people do to submerge their own volition. Yaworksy then provides exercises for recognizing and reversing these behaviors in ourselves. Another checklist, Ways to Avoid Getting What You Want, provides 12 behaviors through which we subordinate ourselves and give away power; for instance by not asking for what we want, by being indirect, by telling others that "it doesn't matter," and by failing to accept gifts with warmth and thankfulness.

Ultimately, BEING CENTERED encourages us to look more closely at our own lives and behaviors, to recognize where we have lost our balance in our efforts to achieve the kind of spiritual fulfillment that brings life its greatest joy, and to take very concrete and practical steps for "being centered." The book is clearly written and easy to follow: profound but not abstract.

Roman Yaworsky's broad and extensive knowledge of things scientific, astrological, and metaphysical makes this book rich in perspectives I've never before considered in all my years of psychological and spiritual exploration. I think the text is best absorbed in bits, because it's so rich in concept and detail. His effort in giving readers the clearest and most definitive understanding possible of ancient and complex phenomena makes the book a continuous resource.
