From AudioFile

The author is an anthropologist and Buddhist teacher who's spent her career applying Eastern concepts of death and respect for the individual to the care of the dying in this country. The work is comprehensive, broadly informed, and intuitively organized. It covers every aspect of being connected to a dying person and is nicely illustrated with the practices of other cultures and the author's own experiences. Her natural language and delivery make all her words very human and comforting. Her extemporaneous approach to most of the program creates the impression that she's speaking from a deep and emotionally informed place. It's a remarkable listening experience by a person with a giving and knowing soul. T.W. © AudioFile 2001, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
