I found this book to be excellent... it empowers patients. Dr. Caravella explains in easy-to-understand language the delicate balance between doctor and patient.This book de-mystifies the intimdating process of being an active participant in one's own healthcare.

Every household should have this book along with encyclopedias and a dictionary. Dr. Caravella writes so the ordinary layman can understand the issues. He also writes without regard to a physician's point of view, and keeps the patient uppermost in his mind. I would encourage everyoneI know to purchase this book, and keep it to refer to it as needed. Also Dr. Caravella practices what he preaches. I know as I have been exposed to his medical help over a period of 20 years. Nice job.Dorothy M. Ritter
