This is one of the greatest books for teens I have ever read. I lead a girls group in NY and have recommended this book to many of the girls I work with. It is smart, funny, and interesting to read all the vignettes that the author and her friends have gone through. Every teenage girl and every parent, or person that works with teenage girls should buy this book!

I admire people that get other people excited about reading. The author, Diane Mastromarino did a wonderful job to get teens wanting to read more and more. Great job!

This book was great. It's like a guideline book to being a teenage girl. And if nobody had the talk with you about things like the birds and the bees, then this is the book for you to read. It covers topics such as keeping your virginity, friendships ( value your friends ) , school, finding yourself, and guys. And not only does the author give you a lot of advice, she tells you things ( stories), she went through as a teen. That should be a relief because you can relate and you won't feel like your the only teen in history going through the struggles of being a teen. She inserts some strong poems from different people in there too to back up and summarize what she says. The only thing I don't like is that she did not talk about the most important thing. THE CHANGE ( menstrual cycle ). It is a touchy subject for some people but all girls go through it!! So at least if your trying cover being a teen.... cover all of it. But over all the book was great and I would recommend it. We all know how hard being a teen can be but we all have to go through it.

This book was just as i reviewed it, just ok. there were no realive stories just a bunch of poems, i have many books of this nature and this is the only one i don't really like. it is also very childish, it doesn't really talk about the important stuff and is written and the pictures are both made for a three year old.
