Belgioiosi Mascarpone
This product is fantastic. I will never use cream cheese again. The flavor, the consistancy in everything from a dinner meal to desserts is the best.

No flavor
In trying several different brands of mascarpone, I found this to be the least pleasing. Stiff texture. Not much flavor at all, not very sweet, and almost a bitter taste - I didn't even finish the tub. Vermont Cheese and Trader Joe's are the best I've found so far, although they have distinctively different flavors.

I make Tiramisu quite often and have used different brands of Mascarpone cheese. This is by far the most flavorless one that I have come across. I, literally had to add different external flavors like Vanilla and godiva liquor/ rum to get some taste out of the money I spent on it.
I would much rather use the Trader Joe's brand which is much cheaper and very flavorful. PS: No, i don't work for Trader Joe's. I am just a regular and a happy customer of theirs. :) |
