Product Description

Colour and pattern recognition and a bit of luck with the dice are what you need to collect the lovely brightly coloured butterflies. This game goes a step further and not only promotes colour recognition but also presents the secondary colours orange, green and purple in a playful manner. Learning colours with the aid of the transparent colour foils is "child' s play". The sun is shining and there are a lot of butterflies dancing on the large wildflower meadow. A few of them are a bit sad because they are totally white and the beautiful brightly coloured butterflies laugh at them. They need a bit of help so that they too will soon be able to fly from flower to flower with brightly patterned wings.

My four year old received this game for Christmas and absolutely loves it! It is a great cure for cabin fever in the winter months. It promotes color recognition and goes one step further by learning how to create colors by mixing the primary colors. We also like the variations of how the game can be played to learn how to strategize. The butterflies are made of wood and are very durable. This a great pre-kindergarten game.

I'm so thrilled that we got this for my three-year-old daughter. It's unusual, inventive and fun. Even my six-year-old son will play with her, which is not the case for a lot of age-appropriate games. We never tire of adding the correct layers to come up with a matching butterfly. This is a fantastic gift for a three or four year old.
