This book offers thorough and understandable information about the Belgian Malinois from puppyhood to old age. Including training possibilities and handling advice. Even though it is obvious that the writer loves this breed all the advantages and disadvantages of being the owner of a "mali" are listed and future owners should definitely read this book.

This series of books is a great resource when you want to learn about specific breeds of dogs. Unlike most breed books that concentrate on only the good, this series explain the good and the bad, who should and who shouldn't get involved with the breed ect.. We also purchased the book on Finnish Spitz and it is just as informative as the Belgian Malinois book. I would definitely recommend this book, or any of the series, to someone who is interested in a specific breed!

A great book for someone wanting to learn about the Malinois,this book has helped both myself and my father(an ALL Breed judge) learn alot about the Malinois especially with regards to their History.I would recommend this book to the novice and also to breeders.These Malinois's are becoming soo popular here in Trinidad that we are in the early stages of forming a club.

This book is dull and has nothing not publicly available (with the exception of the photos of cute puppies circa mid 80's) elsewhere. Would not recommend. It says very little about understanding the breed. I have owned and trained four Mals for the police force.

This book is great, lots of good information on the history of the breed as well as many fantastic pictures. Really like this series.

There are a lot of good details about the breed itself, and there's also a lot of generic dog care pointers as well.

While I would't call it "Comprehensive," per se, I think it is superior to the generic breed books of the past.

I've had Bernese Mountain Dogs for 30 years, and my current dog is my first Malinois. This book did a good job in preparing me for the energy and behavior differences in the two breeds (no, it doesn't mention Berners) and I figured I'd gotten a different critter completely after reading.

This book is great! It has everything, is informative and has more pics than I thought it would.

THIS BOOK WAS VERY INFORMATIVE FOR THE BASIC ON THE BREED. WE ARE NEW T0 THIS BREED BUT HAVE HAD LABADORS FOR YEARS. EVEN THIS BOOK DOES NOT DETAIL THE VAST DIFFERENCES BETWEEN OTHER BREEDS AND THE MALINOIS. NOT A FIRST TIME OWNER BREED FOR SURE.

If your just doing your homework before owning your first Malinois or you already own one. This is a must own book! Not to mention there are very few books avaliable on this wonderfull breed.

Very informative for those beginning with Mals. Of course you can find the information in this book all over the web, but it is a must have for your library if you own a Mal.
