This review is from: Belgian Sheepdogs (Paperback)
The Belgian Sheepdog - Groenendael suffers from seizures. In fact, this breed, including the Tervuren has the highest seizure rate of any breed throughout the world. I know as I just lost my Rachel, a Belgian Groenendael who was overcome by age and finally the seizures. Any book on this breed that does not include a reference to this problem is just plain irresponsible.
I did a search on the 'look' feature and no links were found. Buy the book at your own peril as it is questionable as to what else may be missing. As a tribute to the Belgian, yes, they are incredible friends and family members. But beware, watching your beloved friend in a seizure knowning there is nothing you can do, is not pleasant. |
