5.0 out of 5 stars The Sky is The Limit, January 28, 2009
This review is from: Believe and Achieve: W. Clement Stone's 17 Principles of Success (Mass Market Paperback)
This useful and instructive book consists of time-tested methods that have already helped millions to achieve phenomenal success. It should be a required reading for all CEO's - and all those aspiring to become one. The application of these 17 methods will certainly place someone in the fast track, whatever is his(her) vocation in life. It is divided into 19 chapters. They are: (1). The Seventeen Principles; (2). A Positive Mental Attitude; (3). Definiteness of Purpose; (4). Going the Extra Mile; (5). Learning from Defeat; (6). Personal Initiative; (7). Enthusiasm; (8). A Pleasing Personality; (9). Self-Discipline; (10). Budgeting Time and Money; (11).Maintaining Sound Physical and Mental Health; (12). The Master-Mind Alliance; (13). Teamwork; (14). Creative Vision; (15). Controlled Attention; (16). Accurate Thinking; (17). Applied Faith; (18). Cosmic Habit Force/Universal Law and (19). The Formula. Under each chapter you will find plenty of "blinding insights". For obvious reasons, I cannot highlight them all. Instead, I will highlight 5 of them. They are: (1). In order to attain any goal in life, you must first learn to recognise, relate, assimilate, and apply principles from what you see, hear, read, think, or experience; (2). Go to a quiet place that is conducive to creative thinking, and keep a note pad handy to jot down ideas. This is the method of "Creative Vision"; (3). The Master-Mind Alliance is networking of the highest order. It is the sharing of ideas, information, and contacts in a spirit of perfect harmony to work toward a common purpose; (4). The Cosmic Habit Force forces us to proceed naturally and logically to convert our thoughts into their physical equivalence by using the natural media that are available to us and (5). Accurate Thinking encourages us to approach all the "facts" with a healthy scepticism. Ask youself: "Does it make good common sense?". If you have high aspirations, then, this is a book for you. The sky is the limit. Dr Jusuf Hariman.
