About the Author

A star in high school and a standout point guard for the University of Maryland, Howard "H" White was an NBA draft pick until knee injuries put a stop to his basketball career. Undaunted, Howard put his other skills to use, eventually finding his way to Nike, Inc. Now vice president of Jordan Brand, he has been with the company for twenty-five years. With Nike's support he founded the "Believe to Achieve" program, an innovative traveling seminar designed to encourage youth to believe in themselves and adults to mentor them. A tremendous, charismatic public speaker, White's passion and excitement for life moves adults and children alike. This book is a wonderful tool to help you establish your goals and provide you with realistic steps to getting there. The format of the book is very intuitiave. I'm having my 12 year old read it next!

"H" White did a wonderful job of putting his "life lessons" on paper to share with the world. I would recommend this book to young and old. If Howard White was able to impart knowledge into some of the greatest athletes of our time (Jordan, Malone, Barkley, Cooper) surely he has something for you.

Howard has written a magnificent book that inspires young and older alike. Howard pulls from great fundamentals of positive thinking and behavior that has been the foundation of many successful people. When I meet a young person that wants or needs some direction, I give him or her a copy of the book so they can see first hand how a foundation is established and why it is so important.
