R. Kelly's "I Believe I can Fly" (1996) is an amazing song. One of the most powerful, memorable and inspiring tracks I have come across. To me this track is a motivator- that one can overcome anything that comes there way, and excel to reach great heights. Recognized as a hit globally, this song is definitely one of R. Kelly's best if not his best. Replay value remains strong as ever years later. Performed and Composed by R. Kelly for the Space Jam Soundtrack, this is a truly exceptional song which can also be found on his 1998 album "R.".

"I Believe I Can Fly" came out during a very rough time in my blife. My grandfather was very sick with emphysema and was dying. I was devestated. I turned on the radio one day and this song had just started. I started to cry even before the 1st chorus. I feel as though the song was a message to me from my grandfather, telling me that he believed in not only himself but in me and that he saw himself flying thru the "pearly gates". Thank you so much R. for this song. You do not even understand how much it means to me. You are a truly talented artist whom deserves much credit for everything that you write. Thank you again!!!

I love this song. This song is amazing. When my grandpa was dying of cancer, I turned on the radio and heard this song and I thought that everything was going to be OK. When he passed away I turned on this song. Every time i hear this song it makes me think about him and me. I am 13 and have a hard road this past year but this song makes me think everything will turn out fine.
