R. Kelly's "I Believe I can Fly" (1996) is an amazing song. One of the most powerful, memorable and inspiring tracks I have come across. To me this track is a motivator- that one can overcome anything that comes there way, and excel to reach great heights. Recognized as a hit globally, this song is definitely one of R. Kelly's best if not his best. Replay value remains strong as ever years later. Performed and Composed by R. Kelly for the Space Jam Soundtrack, this is a truly exceptional song which can also be found on his 1998 album "R.".

"I Believe I Can Fly" came out during a very rough time in my blife. My grandfather was very sick with emphysema and was dying. I was devestated. I turned on the radio one day and this song had just started. I started to cry even before the 1st chorus. I feel as though the song was a message to me from my grandfather, telling me that he believed in not only himself but in me and that he saw himself flying thru the "pearly gates". Thank you so much R. for this song. You do not even understand how much it means to me. You are a truly talented artist whom deserves much credit for everything that you write. Thank you again!!!

I love this song. This song is amazing. When my grandpa was dying of cancer, I turned on the radio and heard this song and I thought that everything was going to be OK. When he passed away I turned on this song. Every time i hear this song it makes me think about him and me. I am 13 and have a hard road this past year but this song makes me think everything will turn out fine.

This was sung at my boyfriends funeral.10/05/99 I always loved the song but now it holds a special place in my heart.Everyone like the beat but I made them stop and listen to the words. Now when ever this song come on everyone stops talking and turns up thir radio.It's all about believing in yourself and being the best that you can be. I love it. Ms, Mary A. Hoover

too bad r. kelly has to turn to explicit lyrics to tryto sell his other songs, he is off my list now, I thought you had some sense???????

I don't listen to a lot of r kelly's work but i do listen to this song because i have never heard a better song. I have been looking for this cd so i can sing it at a talent search but i can't find the instrumental. i think that the whole song is an inspiration and it should recieve a 6th star *.

I truly think this is the BEST SONG. Everyone should have the CD. It really shows what a great singer R.R. Kelly is.

This just may be one of the best songs I've EVER heard (and I listen to a lot of different styles of music). The career of every successful artist has that one incredible momemt of perfection. R. Kelly's moment probably came with this song.

This is a brilliant song. I love his C.D. R.Kelly is a brilliant singer and I would love to meet him. I would love to be as good a singer as him.
