Disturbed is back with a powerfull punch! Believe ROCKS!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Believe (Clean) (Audio CD)
I just got this CD today and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I love the music. The lyrics are great (great job on less EXPLICIT LYRICS, Disturbed!, the CD only has one song with explicit lyrics) and the band has evolved. ... Anyway, I love every song. Especially "Prayer" and "Liberate". Those are two awesome songs. Here are my suitability ratings:The Explicit Version: Ages 15+ There are explicit lyrics in Liberate, so this is more for mature teens. Parents get the clean version for your younger children if you don't like them listening to explicit lyrics. But I highly recommend the clean version because its better for everyone plus that version will not get on anyone's nerves with editing. Well get this CD soon, it will be a big seller!

Believe,
This review is from: Believe (Clean) (Audio CD)
Believe is Disturbed's second album. Their first album set their style as classic metal, but Believe brings in a more musical aspect with more melodic vocals than their previous album Down With the Sickness. The album Believe is done in Disturbed's style but a little more musically evolved.
Track 1- Prayer- I really liked this song. You can clearly hear what the lead singer is singing. There is a good melody, and I think this was a good song to start the album with. It is a classic rock song. Track 2-Liberate- This song is faster than the previous one. This song has two distinct tempos. Most of the song is hard and fast, but there are some slower sections. This song is about having an open mind. Track 3-Awaken- This song starts out slower, and the lead singer's voice is softer. The song is different than the first two, which shows the albums diversity. Track 4-Believe- The title track of the album is slow like the previous track. This song does not have much variation in the instrumental parts. They are pretty much constant through the whole song. Track 5-Remember- This song is about remembering past experiences, and maybe not wanting to remember them. I think that this song has better instrument parts and isn't as repetitive as the last track. This song is a little bit depressing, but good. Track 6-Intoxication- In this song someone is intoxicated with another person. This song has an interesting sound, more of the normal rock style of Disturbed. Track 7-Rise- This song varies from fast to slow throughout the whole song. I think that this song keeps the listener interested. The song ends fast just when you don't expect it. Track 8-Mistress- I like the guitar part in this song because it stands out. The mistress in this song is something someone is subjecting himself or herself to that doesn't sound to good for him or her. Track 9-Breathe- In this song I like the instrumental parts. The drums have a littler bit different beat here. This song's lyrics repeat themselves many times gets repetitive. Track 10-Bound-This song is about a girl trying to change a guy into what she wants him to be. The lyrics in this song are good. I see substance to this song. Track 11-Devour- This song is about someone taking someone else's pain away or "Devouring" them. This song is the slowest one yet, but is still good. Track 12-Darkness- This song is very slow. Very much different from their normal style, with an acoustic guitar, a piano, no drums, and string instruments in the background. This song is a rock ballad, kind of a depressing one that talks about darkness and being alone. Overall I would give this album a 5 out of 5 star rating because there are really great songs on it. This album is one of the few albums that I own that I don't want to skip any of the songs on. I think it is a great rock album and would recommend it to anyone.

Disturbed has matured! Wow, I never thought that would be possible. Their lyrics on the other album were silly and at somepoints (DWTS to name one) and I couldn't really stand them. But I take all that back. Disturbed has matured alot more and their lyrics are much much better. That is why this was one of my favorite albums of 2002! The first one is Coldplay's A Rush of Blood To The Head which is another must hear! If you like good hard and heavy hard rock. then I don't see why you shouldn't get this album. All the songs are cool and I'm glad there's not as much explicit lyrics on this one (I got the edited version which is very well cleaned up with no blanks or silly sounds). If you like immature music, I suggest you stay far away from this album because Disturbed has returned with a better sound. If you want an immature band check out System of a Down or Blink-182. But if you like good rock, get this CD!

The 2nd Album from Disturbed,
This review is from: Believe (Clean) (Audio CD)
It might not be as hard as the first cd but it is a pretty good headbanger. It is definitly not as explicit as the first even though Liberate is kind of vulgar. All around a kick ass album and I can't wait for the new album Ten Thousand Fists, I love Disturbed Rock On!!!!!!

Another Great Nu-Metal Album!!!,

Wow!!! This album just blows you away!!! Disturbed has used a lot less EXPLICIT LYRICS, with the only song needing edited for smaller children being Liberate. My favorite songs on this album are: Prayer, which starts the album off very nicely. Liberate, in which they edited motherf**ker with mothermother... I thought that was quite ingenious and funny the first time you listen to it. No weird noises or completely blank spots. Intoxication starts out nice and heavy, one to really crank up the volume to, and then calms down more as it proceeds into the chorus, a nice mixture of heavy and more calm metal. Rise is another great song on this album with great vocals from Draiman and nice guitar riffs. On another note, I agree that System of a Down is quite mature, and anyone who thinks otherwise should go back to the Barney Soundtrack. Also, some people love this band so much they don't remember how to spell the people's names correctly... I thought that quite funny. David Drainman??? Is that some plumber??? Its David Draiman. Dan Donagan??? Just a hint, its Donegan. OK, now that my picking on other reviewers is done, I would like to conclude just saying any fan of nu-metal should buy this album

Awesome Clean Version,

First off, Disturbed has definitely changed since previous albums. I also want to say that System of a Down is NOT AT ALL immature. Singing about your culture, suicide, and politics is not immature. OK, Chic-n-Stu is odd but still. I just wanted to clear that up. I know that this is a Disturbed CD review so I just wanna say that Disturbed has greatly matured. They now sing about more personal topics. If you want something good to listen to other than SOAD, listen to Disturbed.

Rock On Disturbed!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Believe (Clean) (Audio CD)
Rock on, Disturbed! This is one of the best, if not the best cd I have. If I could I would give it 6 stars. This is an amazing album, and SO much better than The Sickness. On this cd the lyrics actually make sense all the time, and instead of editing out the explicit lyrics with silence, it replaces it with "mothermother" which is kinda cool. And plus, there is only one song that has to be edited! Disturbed's music is really awesome. It had me head-bangin and reading the lyrics like crazy. I have The Sickness, and Believe is way better than it. My personal favorite songs are Prayer, Liberate, Awaken, Intoxication, Rise, Breathe, and Bound. If you are even remotely considering buying this album, DO IT.

Pretty good,

I have to say that this album is EXTREMELY different from The Sickness. First off, the sound is a lot more refined. They've also cut back on the electronics and they in general have more complicated guitar lines than in "the sickness." It does a great job of getting in your face with tracks like prayer, liberate, intoxication, and rise. David also switches more often between shouting and his more melodic singing side. On "the sickness," you heard very little of his melodic side. Disturbed is definetely pushing their horizons and I expect a lot more ... from them.

Disturbed is locked and loaded,

"Believe" is a smash hit. Disturbed has hit it out of the park with this one. The ablum has the best song to kick it of with "Prayer". And is followed with "Liberate", "Awaken", and "Remember". These make this CD the best I've heard in a while. I am Distubed's #1 fan and they have not let me down. I'm listening to it as I write this review. And there is also the cool extra if you put it in the computer you can watch the prayer music video with kicks some serious [behind]. If you are considering to buy this Cd get it you will not regret it.

when disturbed came into the rock scene i didnt knwo too much about them.. i really liked the song down with the sickness. basecly because of the ohahahahah at the beginning. but over time i learned more about them. i listened to more songs. and now i love them. they are my fav. band. david drainman has brought the band to a whole new leval of rock. similar to rob zombie exept more interesting. Fuzz, the bassist gives the sound a darker sence. and dan donagan does a great job on the guittar. and of course mike wengren holding it all together on the drums. i really like this album. if you liked the fisrt album you will love -believe.
