About the Artist
SKY SALT is a dark, introspective alt rock band from NYC with uniquely-crafted, radio-ready songs complete with haunting female vocals against big guitars and a whirlpool of heavy beats.
Formed and led by the fiery-haired singer Xenia, SKY SALT has been embraced in the low-fi New York scene, trendy West-coast clubs, as well as cutting-edge Chicago venues. Their performances have been described as an "outrageous spectacle fused with the energy of a full-contact rock show". The front girl’s grown-woman-meets-little-girl mystique undoubtedly plays an integral role in the band’s phenomenal success.
SKY SALT independently recorded and released a 5-song EP OFF THE GROUND in 2002, which is currently in its fourth pressing to meet the on-going demand.
SKY SALT released their first full-length record, I BELIEVE IN FAIRY TALES, on April 28th, 2004, in association with Daedalus Productions and Lime Crime Records. A CD launch party took place at club Plaid, NYC, drawing an impressive number of 400 fans. A North American tour will follow.

Very much the Fairy Tale Rock Band they claim to be, Sky Salt soars beyond our beliefs and makes a CD worth buying. Every single track is quality artistry. I loved it. I am a HUGE fan now.

amazing album from start to finish. Xenia is a real life doll! with her haunting sweet voice & little girl lolita style she sends shivers up my spine! did you know she has her own fashion line too? check out limecrime.net to see her amazing creations. BUY THIS ALBUM! it will make you believe too!

you did it again! i loved off the ground, but this? incredible. wrong, long way, take your time, 2 of a kind, you got it, they just keep coming. a great 'concept?' album start to finish. when are you touring europe???
