Small and loaded...,

You know the old phrase "Don't judge a book by the cover?" Well, I'm ashamed to say that although I don't have a problem with the cover, I was a little disappointed at the size of the book. It is very little 4x6x.25 inches.I'm only half way through the book and I have to say - it's small but it's loaded. I've only read a couple other books by Fr. Benedict Groeschel but I know him more from seeing him on TV. His books are just like him, clear and down to earth - even if he does love St. Augustine and Einstein so much - and quotes from them often. My initial misgiving of the size of the book is all gone, and I am happy to say I am getting a great deal from the book. I'm not quite sure how to frame this book for other readers, like what kind of audience should read this book as opposed to other books. So far (since I'm only half way through the book) it seems to have something to say to everyone, Christian, non-Christian, atheist. The book has a bonus that I am very excited to get to, Appendix D. It is an excerpt of an interview between Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger and journalist Peter Seewald. If you are just a little bit curious about now Pope Benedict you might want to kill two birds with one stone and get this book. I hope you find this review helpful.

Those who watch Fr. Groeschel's program on EWTN on Sunday nights, 7 pm EST..called Sunday Night Live....will recognize Fr. Groeschel's own voice throughout this little book... He is in "perfect form"..Few can write with such clarity, and with wit and sensitivity at the same time..This book is bold and straightforward... It is brief but complete. I have given away many copies...to believers, to non believers, to Protestants, to Jews, to Catholics..
