This is written by a guy that has put into practice everything he discusses in this book. Jentezen Franklin grew up the son of a pastor in a small church in rural North Carolina - a family of very modest means, but a Godly heritage. Through his life, he has learned how to bring the dreams God gives us to fruition - these are dreams that are always bigger than we can do ourselves, dreams that require great faith. If God has given you a passion, or even if you are seeking to discover His purposes for your life, I highly recommend you get this book. It is also very well written and will prove to be a great reference guide that you can go back to as you walk out the dream. Be Blessed in Jesus!

I am so grateful to this man of God for writing this book. It has made a profound impact on my ministry and my journey getting to my destiny. It has empowered me while in my process and disarmed the enemy in my life. It has also given me a greater drive to continue to pursue what God has ordained for me. I needed this book!! It blessed me!! Get this book, it will give you strength and patience to endure the necessary steps and stops in pursuit of your God-ordained destiny!!

This is by far one of the best books I have read this year! It is a must read!

New York Times best selling author, Jentezen Franklin, tells of the power of an unforgettable dream in "Believe That You Can." He writes with the same passion, zeal, and holy fire that he encourages his readers to pursue.

Biblical illustrations from the lives of Abraham, Moses, Joseph, and others illustrate and reflect how God's time and His purpose came to fruition. They claimed their vision, were faithful to their dream, recognized their destiny and moved into God's appointed place in His Kingdom harvest.

Other examples drawn from his own experiences and the lives of contemporary heroes of the faith reinforce the relevance of tenaciously moving toward the dream God gave them.

Jentezen Franklin exemplifies the power of words in his writing. He communicates a message of dreaming a specific vision, the process and stages of seeing that dream fulfilled.

At the end of each chapter is a quick review, often with suggestions for written assignments. These written exercises help the reader put into action the steps for maintaining their vision, their dream, and for pursuing their destiny. I found these suggestions particularly helpful in zeroing in on my own dream as it relates to fulfilling the destiny God has planned for me.

"Believe That You Can" is more than motivational and inspirational. It is anointed. This is a book for anyone who has ever had a "dream" and a primer for those yet to find their personal passion and vision.

If you're here on Earth, God has a plan for you is the conclusion Jentezen Franklin draws in this book on tapping into your God-given dream. He says not all dreams are of God, your responsibility is to discover what God's dream for your life is and to pursue it passionately. A distinction is made between mere dreamers and those who create reality from their dreams. He writes, "The question is not can you dream, but do you have the courage to act on it?" (p. 3).

On page 119, he explains a familiar passage from the Bible with fresh insight. Second Timothy 4:2 talks about being instant in season and out of season. He says the Greek word for season in that Scripture is "eukairos" which has to do with "opportunity", therefore it is talking about being prepared when opportunity presents itself. He goes on to summarize it in a creative way; "When a God-given opportunity comes along, it is God's gift to you. What you do with that opportunity is your gift to God" (p. 126).

He strongly encourages you to be a risk taker. People who live in the safe zone never make a significant difference. Growth only occurs when risks are involved. Stretching beyond one's comfort zone means giving effort mediocre people overlook. "When you give extra effort, it always opens doors. And when God opens the door, don't be intimidated" (p. 144).

My copy of this wonderful book is filled with underlining and marginal comments. It is a book for doers. It will fuel your fire to have something to show for your life.

This is a wonderful, encouraging book. It fills in the holes that other books leave out in the area of making sure that your dream is from God and that there are Kingdom purposes in it and not just dreams for our personal fulfillment. I felt so hopeful as I read. Each chapter took me deeper into the things and ways of God. It's not too late to dream! Even if your dream seems slow in being fulfilled be encouraged God is still working! It will come to pass. Mr Franklin has an easy way of writing that causes one to feel like he is speaking to you personally.

Jentezen Franklin is something else, his books are so right-on. I take a while to read them so I can absorb his words and cited scripture. This book is so pertinent to today, as I believe God places gifts and dreams within all of us. Jentezen guides you to understand that you have one to. Excellent!!

Very good motivational book on living your dream. He gave three steps in the life of a dream or vision. Practical and to the point. Go after it, even if it seems it has died. Speak to it, Live dream, Live! Addresses discouragement and passivity issues and gives inpsiration through Biblical examples and also from his own life. Believe that you can accomplish what has been put within you.

The Holy Spirit has used Jentezen Franklin to speak into my life many times through his sermons and his books. I see this book as one of the best for this season of my life. I was feeling a bit discouraged at my crossroads and I purchased this book at the right time. Jentezen encouraged me to hang on and not give up on the dream that God has placed in me. The book is another confirmation that God is doing a good work in me and it will come to a good conclusion.

This book was so good, I've read it twice and I know I'll be it again. Both times I've seen something I missed.
