You will after hearing this song! The Darkness is Rock and Roll, and so is this single! Simply put, everyone who doesn't like this song, doesn't fully Rock. Get over yourself and enjoy the music. Anyway, the single includes:

I Believe In A Called Love (Single Version)- Arguably the best song on their debut album, "Permission to Land", the single version is just a little different from the album version. In my opinion, it's better than the album version. The guitar part at the beginning of the song is louder, and the "Ahhh ahhhhhhhh" background vocals during the bridge are a little louder and crisper. But either way, it still is a great song!

Makin' Out- Great track, all about what the title says. The opening has a definite "Thunderstruck" sound, a cool chorus, and an all around cool song. Definitely a Rocker.

Physical Sex- This song ROCKS. This track is not only one of their best b-sides, it's actually better than a lot of the tracks on the album! That's not discounting the album at all, which is phenomenal, it's just that the song is that good. From the opening to the chorus ("Fi Seh Cul SEHHHHHHHHHHHHHX!!!!), it's solid the whole way through.

This single is awesome, it's worth it just for Physical Sex alone. So have no fear, order the single, and be swept away by the magic of Rock!

5.0 out of 5 stars Get it for the B-sides!, February 20, 2004
This review is from: Believe in a Thing Called Love (Audio CD)
I was lucky enough to pick this up at a local CD shop, and it's quite the find.
"I Believe In a Thing Called Love" is a great song, and this version, a little different than the album cut is awesome. The real treat with this CD-single, however, is the b-sides (not available on the their album). They are great cuts. "Makin' Out" gets 5 stars by itself. When it started, I could've sworn it was AC/DC. This band is great, great fun--falsetto singing and all!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good single but.., November 27, 2005
This review is from: Believe in a Thing Called Love (Audio CD)
This is a great single, but I recommend you to search for the australian release, cos includes an extra track, Out Of My Hands, that is a very nice song.
Also have to say that the the title track is very different from the album version in the arrangements.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best b-sides on any single CD from The Darkness, August 31, 2004
This review is from: Believe in a Thing Called Love (Audio CD)
I'm not gonna waste my time on "I Believe In a Thing Called Love", since evryone has heard it. These b-sides are great though. Makin' Out is a great song; it sounds a bit like an AC-DC song. "Physical Sex" may be the greatest song by The Darkness I've heard yet. Justin Hawkins hits those high notes above the sky. You won't be disappointed with this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars So very, very mediocre and derivitive, April 3, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Believe in a Thing Called Love (Audio CD)
Outside of the ls's falsetto (and Tiny Tim has original provenance over that) this band does nothing even remotely interesting or unique. I wish that someone could tell me why, if a band's lyrics are purile, utterly bereft of any deeper meaning, and oftimes just embarrassingly stupid, would they include them in the liner notes? If you don't have the lyrics sitting right in front of you, you might mistake what the singers warbling as something decent, even insightful, but in truth it's utter dreck and the documentation merely proves it. But the gratuitous use of obscenities really, really makes the weak writing so much stronger. Okay, not really. I'm so glad I only paid $11 for this POS, but better to not buy it at all. Mediocre musicians with nothing original to offer, or even a particularly good method of derivation from thems that did.

1.0 out of 5 stars I Believe It's A Thing Called Crap!!!!!, April 2, 2004

Lousy songs, terrible singer and a style that died out with spandex and grown men with make-up.
There is no originality here at all, but if you're going to imitate anything, let it be anything other than 80's metal!!!
Is there something wrong with the singer?? He sings like his pants might be on too tight.
I recommend this music for no one. Once the initial fascination fades with this band, you'll walk into a used record store and find this c.d. all over the place, just like the old 80's metal albums that I gave away so long ago.
