I too have been following this author on Facebook and the beauty and majesty of his prose and equality is amazing. I am posting this review before I receive the book as I have been following it on facebook. It touches my soul and gives me comfort with the peaceful visual pictures and of course the words are well put together and flows just like a gentle stream with the soothing words that bathe you in peace. I don't often buy books of poems, I have been published in the past, but there is just something about the way this book has come together that it's one for the bookshelves so that when friends and family visit and get snoopy..they have something darn good to snoop into. The author is a creative person and it tells a good story from the authors heart, which is what a good poem or book or movie should do. It's a winner and I look forward to more from this author. Please look at this work and consider adding it to your collection or just to start one. Peace to all

I love this book. You will love it too. I promise. His words in many poems hit home for me, and brought tears to my eyes, and yet gave me comfort. I am still recovering from my husbands death and his words bring memories to my heart. Buy it, u won't be sorry.

I have been reading Jon's poetry on FB. It is touching and seems as if it written from the soul. It always touches me when I reach each of his poems. I am happy that John's book is finally out.

This author knows the pain of losing a child. He has helped me deal with the loss of my son on Facebook. His poems help not only the grieving parent but helps those who have never faced this pain understand what we go through. You will find comfort in his words!

7 of 9 people found the following review helpful By Mom of a deceased child on October 5, 2013
Format: Paperback
I loved the poem about the deceased child sent to my niece whose baby girl died at full term 5 years ago on September 22. My son died 19 years ago. Poets like John Connor seem to know the pain of others. Unfortunately many authors(poets, journalists, business writers) depend upon the computer for proofreading. In the second stanza "your" should be "you're" sad. In the fifth stanza "theirs" should be "there's" nothing. I hope your poem is not published with those errors in your book, Believe: A Collection of Poetry from John F. Connor, offered by Amazon. If so technology is not serving us as well as we think it is.

I have been following John F Connor's amazing work on Facebook and his words touch my heart very much. To read his words makes my heart a little lighter and has helped me through some rough days since losing my fiance' and other family and friends. I will be buying this book!!!
