Editorial Reviews

Deluxe CD/DVD edition including a bonus DVD featuring 14 of their videos with exclusive band commentary. 2009 collection from the Alt-Rock favorites containing 14 of their biggest hits plus two rarities and two brand new tracks including the single 'Alpha Dog'. Hailing from the Chicago 'burb of Wilmette, Fall Out Boy (Patrick Vaughn Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohªman and Andy Hurley) have appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone, Spin, Blender, and Alternative Press. They have performed on NBC's Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, CBS's The Late Show with David Letterman, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, and more. They have won three MTV Video Music Awards and have received a Grammy nomination as well. Needless to say, they've done quite well for themselves.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Believers Never Die: Greatest Hits" [REVIEW] November 17, 2009
Format:Audio CD
'Tis the season for a slew of greatest hits albums. The release of Fall Out Boy's 'Believers Never Die' may seem unnecessary or another ploy made by the record company to cash in with one of its biggest acts, and perhaps so, but listening to this compilation of the group's hit songs reminds the listener what's kept this group around and in the limelight for six years now. Let's get something out of the way. There are a few new tracks offered for the listener or FOB fan: "Alpha Dog" and "From Now On We're Enemies." The rest are some of the big singles released by the group from the past six years; the rest are tracks that were released on other albums or EPs. In all, you're getting a collection of the groups popular released singles and some added tracks that've made an impression.

The Good: Since 'Believers Never Die' focuses on the top singles from the group, this release has only the best of Fall Out Boy rather than filler tracks that never made an impression. The best tracks are from their album 'Infinity On High', where the group definitely hit its stride and released a series of catchy tunes that caught everyone's attention, including "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race", "Thnks fr th Mmrs", "I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You)". It also includes the Fall Out Boy standards "Sugar, We're Goin Down", "Dance, Dance", and "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me"". This release includes some of the group's early releases (before they exploded onto the scene with 'From Under the Cork Tree' as well as songs from 'Folie A Deux', their 2008 that didn't make that big of a splash.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good CD--the DVD is what makes it worthwhile February 14, 2010
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
The CD itself is pretty standard "Greatest Hits" fare; if you own other FOB CDs, you have all but possibly 3 of the songs. The DVD of the videos with optional band commentary is really what makes it worthwhile to buy this product for a long-time fan.
However, my copy of the Believers Never Die came in a cracked CD case, which wasn't something that added to my pleasure in buying this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Songs From Fall Out Boy February 11, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This Fall Out Boy Collection is very much put together in a good fashion. You get many of the enjoyable Fall Out Boy songs.
This greatest hits compilation by Fall Out Boy is so good that I think it would be wonderful if they released more music in the future. All the songs in this collection are worth listening to for your music pleasure. However,in my humble opinion, here are my personal top favorite songs that I would recommend that one turn to first for maximum enjoyment:

Thnks fr th Mmrs- this song seems to be about someone that may have had some "soap opera" moments, but they are still memorable ones.
Dance, Dance- A song that appears to be about a person that is attracted to someone, but wants to make sure that the attraction is going to be reciprocated through some type of sign (he makes this clear with the catchy and daring lyrics crawling to bed with me). I love the video to this song, and I felt that lead singer Patrick Stump did a fantastic job in creatively projecting his spirit and emotions in the song. Patrick's vocals are so great that I can see why he was asked to lend his voice for the Gym Class Heroes single "Cupid's Chokehold"

I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You): this appears to be one of the more romantic songs by "Fall Out Boy". This song appears to symbolize the message that regardless of what happens that anything can be conquered as long as they woke up to the one that means so much to them.

Beat It; This Michael Jackson classic was wonderfully done by Fall Out Boy. I love how Patrick hits really intense notes at certain points of the song such as when he talks about "truth or dare".

The four above mentioned songs are only a sampling of what is available in this collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album August 17, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Fall Out Boy's greatest hits spanning quite a decent time period. Has a few B-sides that are nice too. If you want an album to get into Fall Out Boy this is a good choice short of buying their entire catalog. It has a couple things for die hard fans that already have all the albums but not much. IT is great if you just bought their new album and don't have any prior albums like I do.

That's exactly what this entire album sounds like; it could be the sound track for a 90s movie about growing up and being a teen (i.e. New Guy, Can't Hardly Wait). Read more

how in the hell?
are you that dumb? do some research before you go and bash on a band you dont like. They have had multiple hits from almost evey album they put out. They started as a band in 2001 and they were all over the age of 14 then.
