5.0 out of 5 stars He did his homework, March 21, 2002

This review is from: Believing Bible Study (Paperback)
This book has for the most part been used to defend the legitimacy of having a Bible based on God's promise to preserve His word(s). Also this book is a secondary to his even more popular book "The King James Version Defended", it just seems to me that this man defended the Bible for the right reasons, unlike Ruckman or Riplinger et al.

and our Lord the Saviour
Jesus Christ is alone under
his cross asking us to come
to help him with load he carries
to keep on guard alert for the day
of Second Coming of our Deliverer
to be ready for the fullness
of the time when the hour of
judgement comes upon us all

from the book i just read
'if the true New Testament
text came from God
where came the false texts
ultimately save from the evil one...
and how could the true text
have been preserved save
through the Povidence of God
working through his Church...'

'cleverness of naturalistic
textual critics is boundless
as was the one of bolsheviks
they are right all the time
facts of life are bad by rule
superior doctrinal soundness
and richness of the true text
provokes their hostility towards
Deity of Jesus Christ and Word!'

'worship to the god homage to
jesus christ using music & mysticism
fun of frolics of arbitrary whimsicality
wresting the scriptures with paraphrase
of modernism of the bible and so
offending Orthodox Christians...
liberal protestantism is about
to fall over into the waiting
arms of roman catholicism...'

'in regard to bible versions
many contemporary Christians
are behaving like spoiled
and rebellious brats
they want a bible version
that pleases them no matter
it pleases God or not
'we want a bible version
in our own idiom' they clamor

'we want a bible that talks to us
in the same way in which we talk
to our friends over the telephone
we want an informal God
no better educated than ourselves
with a limited vocabulary
and a taste for modern slang'
and having thus registered
their preferences they go their

several ways some of them unite
with the modernists in using
the RSV or the NEB others deem the
NASV or the NIV more 'evangelical'
still others opt for the TEV or
the Living Bible...
But the God is bigger than you are
dear friend and the Bible Authorized
which you must use is not a matter

for you to decide according to
your whims and prejudices...
it has already been decided for you
by the working's of God's
Special Providence if you ignore
this Providence and choose to adopt
one of the modern versions you will
be taking the first step in the
logic of unbelief...'

into naturalistic New Testaments textual
criticism that operates same way
we do when reading profane tabloids
which are not part of our God's Providence
as if it was of no importance to us that
the God Father and the Son our Saviour
Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost provided
Infallible Inspiration of the Scriptures
nothing doing to us...the unbelievers
