Unique experience, all that the review indicates and then some. Decent recording quality, very power trio-ish in the mode of Hendrix and the early Jeff Beck group. An expertly tossed-off performance, delivered with intense nonchalance. Decadent riffing and perfect wah soloing--reminds me of the vibe of Gainsbourg's "Melody Nelson" LP. But even Serge never took his lyrics THIS far. I prefer skipping the English versions and going straight to the Swedish takes. The blatant vulgarity of the English versions (and there are only 6 of them compared to 16 of the Swedish) ultimately distracts from the music, though it is funny and shocking to hear a time or two. Much funnier and perhaps even MORE erotic when you don't know what they are actually saying, though you certainly can imagine given the sheer SOUND of it....some things come through clearly enough in any language. A great find for fans of this kind of strangely juxtaposed content that makes us proud to be postmodern crate-diggers.
