It might seem strange to review a product after 10 years, but I was shopping on Amazon and came across this item with no reviews, so I thought I'd write a comment.

I purchased this item from Circuit City when I bought my first PC in 1998. I can't remember what I paid for it, but it's definitely paid for itself over and over. I can't say for sure this is the same exact model as the one pictured, but I'm staring at it now and it is a Belkin Surgemaster II. My laptop, printer, fax, DSL modem and phone lines are all plugged into it 24/7.

I live in Southwest Florida, commonly called the lightning capital of the world. We also get a lot of spikes during a dry spell when salt builds up on the power lines..at least that was the answer FPL gave me when the power went on & off several times one night. So after a decade of use, I'm happy to report that this power surge protector has been worth its weight in gold, and in this market, that's really saying something! I've purchased Belkin cables too, and they're really good quality.

I really like Belkin's extension cords, powerstrips and other products. They seem to consistently deliver high quality at a good price. This surge protector is no exception and I'm looking for another since it was discontinued on here. I'm sure they will bring it back or something similar, however. It's worth getting quality where your electronics are involved and this fits squarely in that category.
